Okay, I'm just going to say it in advance of the release of Raven 4.0. I am very excited! And mostly I want to thank Steven Slate for hiring the best tech guys, such as Jamey Z! Jamey has always been helpful in all things Raven, and the rest of the team that I have had contact with over the years at NAMM, and online are great at what they do. Their enthusiasm for this product is genuine, as well as the desire to make it work for as many as possible. I use my Raven Core Station almost daily, so the anticipation of the new features is high for me. Thank you Jamey and the rest of the crew! And oh yeah, that Steven Slate dude as well.

Okay, so I got the email that 4.0 is out, and I went ahead and purchased it of course. Then I realized that the Windows version isn't ready, which is what I use. I have no problem with having paid in advance for the 4.0 version, but I just wanted to get an idea of how long it may be until the Windows version is ready. Any thoughts Jamey? I got a little excited over here....

Hey Jamey, Thanks for the offer, but as long as my purchase still shows up, I'm good. Unless you're saying it will be months before Raven 4.0 is ready for PC, in which case I would not be happy about that. I can't imagine I'm the only PC user of the Raven, and I use it almost daily. I have a couple of mix projects coming up that make me wish for the new features. Any idea as to how long before Raven 4.0 for PC is "ready for the big time'?

It is impossible to give dates on software development, especially on Windows when there are so many more variables with system types. But I would hope Pro Tools Windows will be ready by the end of the year. Hopefully, 3.0 can hold you over for the meantime, it has all the same big features as 4.0 just with a different GUI. Multi-Touch Faders, Multi-Touch Gestures, Plugin Control, Batch Commands, and a nice touch screen.

Thanks for the update Jamey. Thank you for your hard work! I'm a Nuendo user, so I hope that's not much longer than that. Like I said, I paid for the upgrade, and as long as it still shows up on my account I'm good with it. If you need a beta tester, I would be interested. I build my own DAWs, so that's why I use a PC, otherwise I'd be tempted to by a Mac just to be able to use it now. Ok, maybe not... Blessings, Steve Cummings
