I just purchased two new Ravens several weeks ago. I am using Pro Tools 2023.3 on a new Mac Studio computer. The video works great and I have never had an issue with it. However, I am struggling with reliability from the Raven toolbars. Sometimes they lock up and other times one may disappear for no reason. Sometimes the software will not allow me to force quit from the Raven icon in the Mac menus (no option to force quit). I have reviewed my software settings and applications so I am wondering if it could be USB hub related. I am using a Wenter powered USB hub. I have the USB communication connections from the two Ravens, my ILOK, and a USB CD player connected to this hub. Is there a recommended powered USB hub for the Raven connections that increased reliability? It's great when the Raven toolbars work but I have to close Pro Tools and restart my computer to get the Raven software to close and reopen again when it locks up. Any thoughts?
