Hey guys! I’m looking to purchase the Raven Core setup and I’m looking for a smoking Mac mini to run it. From my research it still looks like the M1 chip is not totally compatible with the Slate plugs. So I’m looking for a i5 or 7 2018 Mini. Anyone using this one? Wasn’t sure how the UHD 630 graphics card would work out. Thanks in advance!

Slate is still living in the past and is very, very far behind in development. So, buy an old Mac system. Preferably one that was delivered with an operating system before Catalina.
Slate is sooooo slow

But, I would suggest getting the old 2013 Mac Pro Trash can as it has the best speed and so many Thunderbolt ports and is really good deal right now. I have been using this computer for mixing the last 5 years and it is still super fast.

Slate is sooooo slow I am using RAVEN 3.9.4 on an MacBook Air M1 with macOS Monterey 12.2 and things are working great. Although Pro Tools doesn't officially support Monterey yet it still is working.

Thanks guys for all the info! Good to know my old 3.33 Xeon 5;1 might actually work it’s maxed with 32 ram and running Mojave. It has a MTI 650 radon graphics with 2g on card so hopefully it can push both monitors out the two hdmi ports. wasn’t even thinking it might be an option, so win! Worth trying first I guess. Going to try downloading “PT first” as a test to see if it works.

Going to try downloading “PT first” as a test to see if it works. "PT First" doesn't allow control surface setups so will not work with the RAVEN software. You will need to the full version of PT, but you can just rent it for a month for like $30 or something.
