I recently purchased a used *in new condition* MTi2 from a music reseller. I went to hook everything up and I could not get the unit to turn on. I purchased studio one 5 artist to get my feet wet and to learn. So I did some more research and looks like I need the license for the Raven software that belongs to the unit I purchased. When I contacted the store where I bought it they said sorry we only sell the hardware nothing we can do. so I am sitting here with a 800.00 paperweight. What does one do when they buy a used unit and no hope ever of getting the ilok2 with the license for the software to operate it?
any suggestions is greatly appreciated. Hate to have to chuck this thing in the trash.

Don best to hit up Slate support as they can get you a new license for $99, or return the unit and buy another used one from someone who knows how to transfer iLok Licenses / Software. slatemediatechnology.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

That is really very unprofessional from the dealer! usually there is a new license for it. I also got my second device from my dealer (it was a return) and got a new license.
