Sooooo- I probably missed the instruction. Do we use the UPDD SETTINGS MENU to set up gestures? But It doesn't appear to offer a way to do macros. Or.. Do we use the batch commander which does offer macros, But, it doesn't seem to have all the gestures listed like the UPDD. Suggestion for the UPDD folks- Need to add a field so that we can name the gesture. thanks

But if you want to use Batch Gestures you can set those up in the RAVEN

Any way to print out the new gestures from the UPDD commander? I want to use them, but there are too many to memorize!!!

Thanks for that print out. That will help. But yeah, that default setup in the UPDD (which is simply single keystrokes) will need to be user modified to where it makes sense to the user. (at least this user anyway) But for example if I want to have say, the 4 finger press to create a New Stereo Aux track, it doesn't look like that can be done because the UPDD doesn't do macros and the batch commander doesn't have 4 finger press as an option. So what happens if I assign Create a New Stereo AUX Track to the 3 finger tap in the batch gestures. Do I need to go back to the UPDD settings and set the 3 finger tap there to "No action"? These two functions seem to be fighting each other. So the way I see it for the moment: Assign single keystroke commands in the UPDD and assign macros in the Batch Gestures? Hopefully someday, those two functions will be streamlined to where it can all be handled at one location. Correct me if I'm not understanding that correctly. Thanks,

But for example if I want to have say, the 4 finger press to create a New Stereo Aux track, it doesn't look like that can be done because the UPDD doesn't do macros and the batch commander doesn't have 4 finger press as an option. You can edit the UC gestures to whatever key strokes you like. I go over that here: youtu.be/X66oRQ7miNc?t=116But for example if I want to have say, the 4 finger press to create a New Stereo Aux track, it doesn't look like that can be done because the UPDD doesn't do macros and the batch commander doesn't have 4 finger press as an option. These two functions seem to be fighting each other. So the way I see it for the moment: Exactly, if you setup a Batch Gestures in RAVEN then users must set it to "No Action" in the "UC" (UPDD COMMANDER) Also, RAVEN only has Batch Gestures for the the usually gestures. They haven't been updated yet in RAVEN 3.9 with the new UC advanced gestures.

Perhaps, but I am not sure why anybody would use Batch Gestures over the UPDD Gestures unless they are on Windows where there are no UPDD gestures.

Perhaps, but I am not sure why anybody would use Batch Gestures over the UPDD Gestures unless they are on Windows where there are no UPDD gestures. Perhaps I'm missing something then. Can I use UPDD gestures to create a stereo aux with one swipe? Or even the 2 finger rotate to cut and mute? Or Switch to Solo In Place? Basically I want to use the gestures so that I don't have to use screen space for the commander buttons, floating pallets, etc. Just my Edit screen and gestures to do all the macros for all my basic day to day functions. Then, when absolutely needed, call up a bank of commander buttons for more esoteric needs. thanks

So Batch Gestures are you ticket for sure. glad you are putting them to good use.
