Hi!
New user here with Protools 2020/MTi2/10.13/2015 MacBook Pro setup.
When I record slower automation fades via any of the raven mixers (int, ext and floating) the fades jump in increments of half a dB or more in fine mode and more substantial jumps in normal mode, pausing on a static level in between. This is actually written into the automation data, not just a UI issue. Conversely, a fade done on a single pro tools fader (not with the raven skin) with command pressed to utilise Protools own ‘fine tuning’ mode on the MTi2 touchscreen produces very slick fades that clock through the 0.1dB steps very smoothly.
I am using a powered hub but tested directly connected to the MacBook and it’s the same deal.
I’m hoping somethings not quite right with the configuration. I did follow the setup video very closely. The only thing that I couldn’t manage in the setup to match the tutorial was to get the Daemon program in the permissions list as I cannot locate the program anywhere (although it is active in the OS X toolbar with the other icons).
Really hope it’s not just the way it is as I expected the resolution of fades to match that of Protools when acting on its own to enable use of smooth automation on several faders at once.
