I have noticed this happening recently..... I'm not a power user so I generally have my default Ravlay set up to use layout #1 and as long as I stay on layout 1 the gestures I've set up work fine. But, if I go to another layout, i.e. layout #5 for instance to use a button command, when I return to layout 1, some of my gestures (not all, I think) stop working and I have to reload my default gestures. After I do that, they work ok. Am I doing something wrong? Also, do I need to save my Ravlay for every different song in Pro Tools that I have? Thanks in advance!  |

Depends where you set your gestures, If you are only using UPDD Gestures than they are global, but if you have added "Batch Gestures" then those save to the layout. Also, do I need to save my Ravlay for every different song in Pro Tools that I have? Thanks in advance! RAVEN sessions are more global, so you should use the same RAVEN session for all Pro Tools sessions. |

Ok, using the same ravlay for all of my PT sessions is what I've been doing, just wanted to be sure. As far as switching layouts goes. I'm only using gestures on layout 1 and the other layouts are batch commands on buttons. But for some reason when I switch from layout 1 for instance to any other layout to use a batch command button, when I return to layout one and try to use a gesture, sometimes it doesn't work and I have to reload my default ravlay to get the gestures to work again.... puzzling....

I have never seen that before. Are you assigning Batch Gestures to layout 1 or are you just using the UPDD gestures?? If you click the UPDD Gestures Icon from the "Menu Bar" and select "Show Gestures Log" is it registering the gestures???  |

I'm using both batch command "buttons" on layout 1 along with gestures assigned to certain ones of the batch command buttons.. I checked the gestures log and although I don't understand what it's saying, it is registering gestures, I can see that...

Ok, maybe you need to resave the layout and perhaps re assign those few gestures and resave it,. |
