With the delayed production of the MTi2 units I've been offered an MTi instead.
I've been told that the earlier MTi model is made with a much more sturdy metal body in the US, and was much more expensive, while the MTi2 is made to a price in China with a plastic body making it cheaper and more accessible to the masses. Apparently there are no other functional hardware differences and both units run Raven 3.xx and up.
The only caveat I've been told about is that you can't mix MTi and MTi2 in a 2 unit system. 2 x MTis is OK.
So what other issues will effect me using the earlier hardware?
I'll be using Windows 10 x64. And the beta Pro Tools version. I'm using PTHD 12.4
appreciate any helpful comments.

Thanks Trevor. I just found the info you left on Facebook. Whoops!
What's the weight of the MTi?
Does it have VESA mount points? I'm looking for an articulating arm to bring it from 15^ tilted at desk height with ability to lift it for use while standing. If such a thing might work that is.

I'm using Pt 11. Do I need a HDMI to Thunderbolt cable for the video connection?

I'm using Pt 11. Do I need a HDMI to Thunderbolt cable for the video connection? PT11 will work fine with raven and el capitan. Depending on your computer you would need a HDMI to HDMI or HDMI to mini display port/thunderbolt..

Hey Drock,
An HDMI to ThunderBolt is your best bet for MTi2 (http://www.apple.com/shop/product/HFQL2VC/A/moshi-mini-displayport-to-hdmi-adapter-4k?fnode=8b&fs=f%3Dadapter-hdmi%26fh%3D4595%252B45b0%252B3058), MTi-1 you would go with a DVI to Thunderbolt (http://www.apple.com/shop/product/MB570LL/B/mini-displayport-to-dvi-adapter?fnode=8b).

Thanks for the response Trevor. I'm patiently awaiting the release of the MTi2. Maybe I'll get lucky and find one before summer comes.
