Just got the Raven last week, it works fairly well; but I have crash issues. Sometimes while writing fades it just quits, no message. Just gone. Sometimes I load the raven and the transport buttons and edit/mix don't work. I followed the setup tutorial, but I feel like have missed something. To get things back I have to restart the computer. I need this to be more solid.
Thanks for any advice!

I need this to be more solid. Thanks for any advice! running a 2011 Mac Pro 16 gb ram osx 10.8.5 Are you on PT? which version?? Why are you so far back on OSX? I am on 10.9.5 and Raven doesn't crash. Sounds like you have some HUI issues going on with V-Control and Pro Tools if the transport and edit mix don't work. You can try changing your HTPP Port for V-control and Raven, since its possible you have a conflicting application. slatemt.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/216194648-Raven-and-V-Control-not-communicating-due-to-interference-from-another-app-For me its always Pro Tools 12.4 crashing and Raven stays open like a pro.. If you keep having issues after changing the ports, then I would suggest filling a support ticket and we can get more info about the crashes.. |

So Within my Application Support/Slate Digital Media folder there is only a pkg installer UPDD_05_01_1443.pkg, nothing else. Where are all the other folders that should be in there? Do I need to de/reinstall all the raven software? did I miss a pkg somewhere? I think you are correct in the port assignment. But I don't have the Raven MTi folder nor the LaunchPrefs folder, so I can't change that.

Sounds like you are looking in the HD/Library. You will need to get to the User/Library. Option click the "go" tab in finder to open it.
