After over 3 hrs of trying to align the Raven MTi 2 with PT12.4 HD we finally have the alignment but the red line that we use for alignment is still there after I shut down PT and won't disappear until I press the ext mixer on Batch command or shut down batch command. Is this normal and that red alignment line is present all the time in PT12, if i close the track view to the left everything goes awry and I need to have the tracks view enabled all the time.
also if I have HEAT actvated in view mode the alignment is shot to hell.
whats up with this? Thinking I bought two DOA units!?

Hey Southside. I'm just a babe in the woods here, but since we're running similar systems I thought I'd share some of my experience until support gets back on the 4th. I have the red alignment line stay on the screen after I shut PT down. It doesn't bother me when it's lined up, and sometimes I need it to re-align the tracks. I've found the only way, there may be others but this is my experience, that in order for the tracks to line up properly you need to have all the extra views (instruments, F-J sends, Heat) set to off, i.e. only the basic view. I think it's the only way they could fit 100mm faders on the mixer because of the Raven Toolbar at the bottom.

Hey southsidemusic,
Just to clarify, are you saying the Red alignment line is still visible when exiting Pro Tools but keeping RAVEN open?
Kind Regards,

Yes exactly. Still there but disappears when closing the Batch Commander / Raven software.

I see the exact same behaviour. I just hide the Raven software as if I don't have PT or another DAW open I'm not using it anyway.

Hi Guys, The red line is part of the RAVEN software for Pro Tools. I recommend hiding RAVEN when not using it . Trevor
