I was wondering what the word is on the missing DP Key Bindings XML file that was supposed to show up after installing Raven 3? The key bindings actually get installed with the Raven, so no need to import. We will have to adjust this in the manual.

Thanks jameyz,
I just received that info from Trevor as well. I thought that might be the case. Onward...

Craig, I didn't know you were a DP user. Hi Jim, Check out what I found in my virtual cedar chest, where I keep my most precious emails: Yes, after Sonic Solutions got out of the DAW game and switched to DVD authoring software, I looked at what was available. At the time, Fairlight's DAW was impressive, but I had reservations about the company's liquidity. Sadie & Pyramix had powerful editing, but I'd have to switch to PC. I looked at whatever PT was called then and their business model has stayed the same to the present day. That model is: once someone buys in, make it so they lose money if they leave and squeeze them for a big upgrade chunk every 15 months. Sonic was fond of that MO too. "Hey, we have new cards coming out, you should upgrade. Special discount for the next 14 days, only $14K!" There were a few Native DAWS that were almost ready for primetime and even though I wouldn't be using the sequencing part of the software, DP was pretty straightforward and the business model was less bloodthirsty. Of course, compared to Sonic, Sadie or Pyramix, DP and PT were and still are, tinkertoys for editing, but for multitracking & mixing, + 64 bit processing + available 3rd party plugs-ins, they've come a very long way. I have PT 10/11 that I was using with Raven and still use it to convert the occasional troublesome OMF, but doubt if I'll be upgrading PT unless there's a very compelling reason that will bring some love to the bottom line. Craig
