Hi, Today I was able to get my MTi's installed and hooked up as I just finished the last project I was working on. I went to register them and a question came up for me regarding multiple passcodes. I will be running Pro Tools 12.3.1 (hopefully), and Studio One 3.1. My question is, since I have 2 MTi2's do I have 2 passcodes and not need to purchase additional ones for Studio One? Or do I need to purchase 2 additional, i.e. utilize one passcode per Mti for each DAW?

So you would have to shut off touch in the S13 preferences before using in Dual Mode. We are in contact with them, and hope to have a solution soon.

I had a problem with my iLok not communicating and gave Customer Support a call. Found out it was due to me having it on a USB 3.0 buss (Mac Trashcan). Kevin helped me with that and answered the question about the 2 passcodes. I know about Studio One and only support for one screen for now...a slight bummer but I'm optimistic it will get worked out. I'm really digging the two Ravens in Pro Tools. I am having some weirdness that I'm trying to sort out. Once I get some time, probably this weekend, I'll see if I can get them enumerated and get a post of the issues and see if it's something I'm doing wrong or if there might be a workaround.

But if you could file a support ticket with these issues we will be sure to address the bugs.. Hi jameyz. Sorry I didn't get back on this sooner. It's been a wild week and the holidays aren't even in that equation. I looked to see if there was an area that I could put my 'specs' that would show up in my posts, but couldn't seem to find it, like a signature. I'm using 10.10.5 for now as I've read about El Crapitan giving some issues. The main problem I'm having is with Studio One. I don't have a problem with using it in single window mode, but when I try to turn off the second MTi2 the UPDD app crashes, or at least becomes unresponsive, and I get the spinning beach ball of death when hovering over it. I can't use Force Quit because it doesn't show up in the list, so all I can do is reboot. What I'd like to do is keep the editor window in the first MTi so I can use gestures with it, and keep the Mixer in the second window and use the mouse to control that or use it in single gesture mode. I watched the video for the Studio One set up and it had me shut a couple of gestures off. When I did that, Pro Tools did not work properly, so I had to turn them back on. Not sure if I'm doing things wrong, but when I get more time, I'll open a ticket with support.

Also Studio One doesn't support Dual touch as of yet, so that will cause some confusion. S13 requires native touch to be off, or else you will get a double click type of thing with touch. But once switching back to Pro Tools native touch will need to be switched back on. Also if using the TUIO with Studio One, the Second touch screen will probably need to be inactive, or maybe unplug the USB. Hit up support when you get a moment and we will be sure to help you out..

Hi jameyz, Yes, I'm finding that out and working through some things and actually getting it to work sort of. I may just leave Studio One out of the 'mix' if you will until the second monitor usage becomes a reality. The MTi's make great monitors anyway. The idea of unplugging the second monitor usb sounds interesting. I have had the weird image jittering when moving stuff on the the screen, etc. Thanks for the help so far. Now I just need to get a proper console to mount them on. A workstation desk doesn't get it as they sit too high to be looking down on them. Argosy is an option, but no room for my sub-woofer underneath. I'll be contacting them after the holidays to ask about a custom build.

I use a "Drafting Chair" since my desk is a little high this chair get to the perfect height.
It was either that, or chop off a piece of the legs on my desk..
