WOULD you recommend a Raven (either one) to a new installation using Pro Tools 12 , or not?

Which OSX are you using?
I really dig Raven with Pt12, although PT12 still is a little unstable. But having "Commit" makes it worth it still..

this would be for a brand new installation so likely to be OS 10.11
but FWIW PT12.3.1 runs fine (no stability issues) for me now on OS10.10.5

I would recommend waiting a bit. We are still sorting a few things out on El Captain. If it is necessary to update you will be fine.
