MTi 1 user here (Raven 3.0.1, Macpro 2010 on Yosemite, PT HD 12.3.1 native). I'm trying to integrate an external controller to my setup, mainly to control parameters on virtual instruments (orchestral stuff) and I don't have enough sliders/switches in my master keyboard. I was thinking about the Novation Zero SL MKII, but it normally should use the HUI protocol, and as far as I know it's not recommended to use the 4th HUI slot in PT when using the first 3 for the Raven. Of course I won't use it to control plugin parameters or PT mixer parameters, just midi controllable parameters on V.I.s (mainly Kontakt through Vienna Ensemble Pro). Anyone has this kind of setup ? Any advice ? Thanks

As, you shouldn't need to do this to get MIDI into pro tools.. I can use Kontakt or UVI and just "Right Click" a parameter to map it to a MIDI channel, then my Axiom can control the MIDI parameters as well as the sounds.

The thing is I don't like the idea of replacing my glorious Kurzweil Midiboard... but the sliders are just two and not working well anymore, that's why I was thinking about adding a MIDI controller just for controlling some MIDI parameters
