Sorry seafoam.. That is too bad it didn't fix it. Maybe you can try deleting your launch prefs folder completely and see if this fixes. User/library/appsupport/slatemedia/launchprefs...
But before deleting this, please email us or upload the file so we can take a look..

Thx Jamey for you attention.
I will do that first thing in the morning ,
I will attach the launch prefs folder you mention, and send it to you via Trevor in an email ..., (as I currently have email correspondence open on the issue ) ..., and I have also described in more detail outlining what exactly happened , incl screenshots.
Yes its a bummer unfortunately,. in the meantime though (ie; tomorrow) .., I will go back to version 2.5.1 ..., until 3.0 it gets a unanimous 100% thumbs up. cheers

I can't get 3.0 to work at all - Luanch no ilok errors - Can't switch between mix and edit windows - Transport controls not working - Edit mode indicators do not show what edit mode - e.g. if you switch to slip mode it switches but you have to look at pro tools what doe you in it does not show in the Raven switch

My Raven 3 software also crashes ( a lot) Do you remember what you were doing when it was Crashing?? I went all day without out a Raven crash, but I wish I could say the same thing for PT12.3 Yes lauching Raven software from my saved Ravens session _ have un-installed and reinstalled multiple times, There are multiple issues It would take me an hour to type them all out I have beta tested software before but 15 seconds to find my first bug and 10 software bugs found is 5 minutes is beyond crazy Sorry but your tech support sucks too - I have had a ticket email open for nearly 4 weeks and I solved the issue myself I even emailed my phone to someone from slate support and nobody called - now this I paid $2500.00 for this Raven and I stuck on Pro tools 12 for reasons I don;t need to say but this is really crappy

Yeah you'll have to open the raven session from inside the raven once it's open..
And once you do that set it as your user default and every time you open Raven your session load.
What are some of the other bugs?
I have been using 3.0 for about 3 months now and haven't had many problems. So I am sure what ever you are experiencing can be fixed..
I would reopen a new ticket with support and they will get you rocking..

Hi there,
in order to work on an session created back in 2013 I had to switch on my PT v10.3.10 rig. (OSX 10.8) To work with RAVEN v2.5 was a real JOY …… every issue I am moaning about in 3.01/PT12.3.1 is simply inexistent here. I was able to concentrate on content instead of GUI workarounds.
Why can't we have the same in a up-to-date version for the actual host soft- and hardware?
sincerely Walter

Hi there!
I too am having issues with my MTi MK1. Everything was fine in Pro Tools 11.3.1 and Raven 2.5 (with OSX 10.10.3). When I upgraded to Raven 3, I also lost all of my custom icons. Just after that I upgraded to Pro Tools 12.3.1, now every time I boot the Raven software it asks what my DAW is (it didn't used to, only PT 12 is currently installed). I've had Raven crash a few times (again, it never used to do this). Custom icons still gone. A track naming issue where if a track name starts with a dash (-) the name shows up incorrectly in Raven but not in Pro Tools (Raven substitutes a random track name). The red line that usually appears to align the mix window remains there after I hit "Mixer 24" as just a random vertical line down the screen through the faders. Toggling mix/edit windows it will sometimes disappear but will later reappear. Also, my touch sensitivity is sporadic now. It seemed to work fine before, now I sometimes have to reach for a fader or touch a button several times before the Raven will recognize my touch. I've tried recalibrating with Multi Touch Platform a few times, it doesn't help. I've trashed my Raven preferences a few times, also no effect. I also tried trashing my Launch Prefs as mentioned above, no difference.
Please help! As the others are saying, it's really making the Raven tedious to work with....

When I upgraded to Raven 3, I also lost all of my custom icons. The icons live in a folder for each DAW, so icons from PT11 won't transfer over to PT12 unless you drag over the folder.. I would actually grab your icons out of this folder "/Users/supaman/Library/Application Support/Slate Media Technology/Raven MTi/CustomIcons/ProTools/Single", and then delete this folder for PT12, and re import the icons..Just after that I upgraded to Pro Tools 12.3.1, now every time I boot the Raven software it asks what my DAW is (it didn't used to, only PT 12 is currently installed). This is fixed, there should be a new raven 2.0.3 in your account with this fix very soon.I've had Raven crash a few times (again, it never used to do this). What were you doing when it crashed?? I haven't had many crashes on 3.0 so this could be a bug hiding somewhere..
A track naming issue where if a track name starts with a dash (-) the name shows up incorrectly in Raven but not in Pro Tools (Raven substitutes a random track name). This has always been an issue, and it relates to HUI. Most delimiters will stop HUI from sending the track information. So we recommend not starting a track name with any delimiters. The red line that usually appears to align the mix window remains there after I hit "Mixer 24" as just a random vertical line down the screen through the faders. This is fixed, there should be a new raven 2.0.3 in your account with this fix. my touch sensitivity is sporadic now. It seemed to work fine before, now I sometimes have to reach for a fader or touch a button several times before the Raven will recognize my touch. I've tried recalibrating with Multi Touch Platform a few times, it doesn't help. This is not a bug we have heard of with the new 3.0. Maybe do a clean uninstall of the multi touch platform. uninstall_mt_platform.pkg (3.14 KB) Hope this helps.. I would also be sure to file a support ticket with this type of information, so they have a documented issue, and can get some more specific info. I have been on 3.0 for a 5 months now, and don't have any issues when tracking or mixing.. I do happen to be on 10.9.5, so I wonder if some of this stuff is 10.10 related.

Thanks for all this Jamey, much appreciated. Fixed the custom icon issue, and installed the new Raven software. Will report back if any of those issues come back. As for the crashes, a couple of times it happened toggling the edit/mix window. I have a shortcut for the toggle programmed into my trackball - and when switching it went into a loop (flickering back and forth between the edit and mix window) then Raven crashed and the window to report the crash came up. It hasn't happened again for several days now, and had never happened before the 3.0 update. Another time Raven froze while doing some volume automation on a track - the fader just stopped tracking the moves. I tried touching other buttons and nothing happened, then Raven disappeared and the 'report crash' window came up. If it happens again with this new update I'll report back as well. I've had 10.10.3 on my computer since before I had my Raven (I got it in July), so my whole Raven experience has been on Yosemite. These little issues all appeared with the 3.0 update. Thanks again for your help!
