I tried recording and it works, but it keeps selecting the same track. Do you guys have a video on how to use the record feature?

I was trying to have it record me color coating tracks and then selecting a bus to send them too. I want it to be able to do that for any session I open.

You will have to do that with an actual BC. Since the record function is X/Y and doesn't work yet with modifiers. Which version of PT are you on?? Here is a way to do it. also, here is a BC for showing 15inserts that will bus to "All vox" and make them blue, BUS SELECT TRACKS TO ALL VOX AND MAKE BLUE.ravbc (1.65 KB)

I'm on Pro Tools 12. Tried to put the same commands you had in the picture, but it only went so far as to change the color. Didn't seem to complete the bus route.

Trying importing the BC I sent into your user folder. Then just swap out different pieces. This also should be used in the mixer window. I will mess around with a couple more, I forgot to add a "restore previous tracks" after the color code.
How many inserts and sends do u use usually?

Hey man, Ya I'm using 10 inserts and 5 sends. Is it cause it doesn't say BUS? Cause I see it says TRACK. I basically have 5 buses I send everything out too. VOCALS/DRUMS/MUSIC/BASS and EFX. I just want to be able to select a group of tracks and have the switch color and go to one of those buses.

Also can I make custom plugin chains? For instance I use a UAD dbx160 and the UAD Pultec EQP-1A for Kick parallel compression. But they aren't on my favorites. I noticed in one of your video's you had certain plugins in the quicklist, but when I type them nothing comes up. Is that something I have to input?

Got confused since this is a Raven Pro Tools thread.. Here is a BClay I made that will Bus and Color selected tracks for 10ins 5 sends. Make sure your window looks similar as in this video, The red line should be aligned etc.. BUS AND COLOR AND PARALLEL.bclay (176.19 KB) Just open up the BClay and save each BC to your user folder, or save the whole panel and reload into your BClay. I prefer to use "Track" instead of "Bus" since the bus list can be so long and the "Tracks" list is only whatever busses are in the session.. But Either way will work. There is also a BC i made using Custom insert and Custom insert next to add the DBX and Pultec. Although I do prefer using the "Track Hack Preset" for long chains, since it saves their input/color/plugin settings/etc

Jamie your the man. That worked. Sorry for posting in the wrong area. I have a MTI2 on the way but still waiting for it to ship. Will I be able to import these setting into the raven software? Also what's the track hack preset? Is that the one if the video? Thanks so much for your help.

NP, glad to help. The Track hack preset is the bottom video.. Basically Make a chain and save it to the Documents/Pro Tools/ Track Presets folder. Then recall it using key commands from batch commander.. slate.boards.net/post/2962something like this. You can just drag you BCer library items over to the Raven Library folder and all your BCs and Panels will move over.. Sometimes also you can just change the extension of the BClay to Ravlay and open that up in Raven...
