Here's today's gripe... ha ha!
I'm working on a big mix. Maybe 50 tracks. I'm showing all the tracks because I'm banking around adjusting a lot of things. Then I find a fader I need to put into Touch mode, so I hit that handy dandy BC for Touch automation. It shows only the selected track, changes from Read to Touch, then restores the previous tracks. Here's the problem. It scrolls the faders back to the left of the session. The fader I just put into Touch is out of view. Now I have to go searching for it again.
I think we need some better functionality for maintaining position in the mixer. I mentioned Scroll to Track the other day (Shift-Right-Click on a Track Name), but I think it needs to go a lot further. Restore Previous should take you back to where you just left the track you're working with.
I'm also not crazy about how I can't Bank Right 24 and have a partially filled mix window, or fill the whole window with the end of my session. Individually scrolling those last few faders is super annoying.
I realize the workaround is to have good Show/Hide memory locations so you're never over 22 tracks, but that isn't always practical.
On the good side, LOVING comping vocals with this. One modification I made: For the Cursor Up/Cursor Down commands, I added a Shift-S so that it's only one press to move to the next Playlist and Solo it. Fast!

Hi Brian,
Sorry to hear you are having some issues with the touch automation Batch Commands. Unfortunately their is no way around restoring the tracks and scrolling to the left because that is a internal pro tools function. The difficulty with scroll to track is having the Batch Command know which track you were intending to scroll to. I will look into this a bit more.
For the time being, I would recommend experimenting with changing automation modes in the external mixer.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Kind Regards,

Thanks Trevor... it's not exactly an "issue", it just feels like it's not quite fully developed. I realize you're fighting with the limitations of an overlay on Pro Tools software. Hopefully you guys can figure out a way for Raven to sense the selected track in the Track list without a cursor already there. That way Raven could have a QL like Scroll Selected Track to Left of Mixer, or Right of mixer, or Center of mixer, etc. That in combination with Restore or Show All would probably do anything I'm after.
What about the "extra" tracks being hard to get to? That seems like a little easier fix... my old MCU handled that fine.
Thanks!
