I'm still using PT11 because I like the fact that I own it, but may move to PT12 when the beta load of Raven has proven to work well. I'm a pretty basic user of PT and some of the new features of PT12 just don't seem worth it to me to pay to either subscribe monthly or pay the annual license fee. I still prefer to own my software. But I would appreciate any comments on the Beta load of Raven with PT12.

I wouldn't suggest going yet.
There are a few cool things for non HD user in PT12, but the cursoring bug is pretty bad even when not using Raven.
For instance, I love using the instant color coding batch commands to organize drums and music and BG vocals into certain colors. But since this BC uses "Cursoring" in the Color Palette, the BC's will not work in PT12.
Avid should have a fix soon and when they do PT12 will be just as compatible and PT11...

When I go to Settings / Switch Default there is only Basic layout or blank

Hi Mikerophonics,
The Layouts are not global between DAWS. The only ones included with PT12 are those two right now. We intend to add more in the future.
