I'm afraid that I can't get this Quicklist BC to work - any suggestions?
Thank you!
Danny

You are totally right, thanks for finding the bug.. Somehow I think 10.1 messed it up.. I already got a fix..

Hey thanks for such a quick reply. That's great. I'm struggling quite a bit with things like trying to get favourite plugin chains and instruments to work at all - The "preset" 1 - 8 just seem to pick the first instrument in the list. Logic isn't so smart when it comes to favourites - it like to force us through 100s of menus! Any suggestions? Thanks again! Danny

Danny I would try a longer delay in-between the "]" so when switching presets it has a little more time to recover.... I think depending on how long each preset takes to load.. Maybe try 500 ms... slate.boards.net/thread/462did you check out this thread and video on the track presets???

Hi Jamey, I did a couple of days ago but I have just revisited it today and makes more sense to me now (I tidied up some of my old presets and made sure they start with 01, 02 etc.) - it is a great work around, thanks! I just wish this area of logic was improved - with all the 100s of facilities available, they really should give us a shortcut to recall a particular instrument.
I'm going to set up a few with your suggestion - it will certainly help me get started!
Thanks again,
Danny

Hi Jamey,
So I gave it a try - it does kind of work but far better with plugins rather than instruments, as some of the instruments take forever to load. My intention was to set up a layout with the top 16 of my virtual instruments, but to wait for Logic to scroll through each channel strip to get towards the end is unrealistic - much, much quicker to find the channel strip via the menu.
I'm guessing this is a limitation of Logic, but if you can think of any other work around that would be great. I noticed that your Audio FX editor is able to see the whole list of FX plugins available (even those that I can't see/find on the system) - I'm guessing this may be through the info exchanged via mackie control protocol?
If there was any scope for that to be developed - so would could save our preferred plugins within the raven software...or even extended to being able to list and choose instruments, I think that would be brilliant for many Logic users. Of course, I have absolutely no idea if it is feasible?!
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
Thanks!
Danny

Great ideas.
Your right it does work better for plug ins or small sample VST instruments
Not sure if it helps, but I do think you can scroll backwards to get to the last preset.: shift[ .. The plug fx is all mackie/hui limitation.:.
I do find that the new logic plug manager makes things slightly easier to grab plug ins...

Definitely! So much better...I'm just being lazy I do think Logic needs to sort that side of things out though - it's like menu hell! Jamey, am I able to edit batch commands for Raven / Logic or are they 'locked'? I'm trying to amend a BC to resize main window for 3 racks (rather than just two) - is that possible? Thanks Danny

The logic window has a minimum size. It may just barley fit 3 racks... I will try to do it..

Thanks Jamey - it definitely fits as I've created a screenset but the problem would be making a variation for every screenset - whereas your fantastic BC did the trick brilliantly!
Thanks!

Hi Jamey
I've managed to sort this now - there was always a command available so I had to write a BC to access the script. Just thought you may like to know!
Thanks
Danny

For sure, I remember adding the Service script. But never made a BC for the quick list. Can definitely Add it in there though.
