I seem to be having a panning issue with the MTI. When I place my finger on the red dot in the PT panner window, the dot jumps to the side. I have to pull it center, and then it doen't really follow my finger while I pan. Is this a bug? Is there a setting I need to adjust? I'm using PT 10.3.8, with 1 HDX card on a 2X2.66 Ghz 6 core running 10.7.5. NVIDIA GeForce 120 512 MB graphics card. Also, I am running a second screen. The MTI is my edit window, and the second screen is the mixer. I'm using an Artist Mix for physical faders. Is there a way to keep the NTI from bringing up the mixer every time I click in the mixer window on the second monitor? In other words, lock the edit window?

Hi Soundboy.
Could you please email me a screen shot of the Red dot you are touching that is causing this. I suspect it is a bug that we have resolved in a coming update but I would like to confirm.
Kind Regards,

Will do. Any ideas on locking the edit screen? Also, here is a panning idea that would be natural for the Raven. If you could take the video window, and overlay a panner field over the image, so that you just had to trace the arc of the moving image with your finger (start with your finger on the car on the left, and just follow the car with your finger to the right as it crosses. Or the space ship up, down, back....... in a 5.1, 7.1, Atmos, Auro, panner overlay). In my opinion, you would have post stages buying the Ravens just as dedicated panners! They would beat a path to your door. Just my 2 cents. You would have to find a way to line up the panner window with the size of the video window. Maybe the way the Raven mixer window lines up with the red line on the PT mixer window. The one request I always see on Gearslutz is, "where can I get a dedicated panner for PT?" Harrison owns the copyright on motorized panners, but no one has anything like what I'm suggesting.

Hi Soundboy,
I will be addressing your edit screen setup in your email. I will help you look into ways of making this work.
As for the panning Idea we are working on some different ways to incorporate it in future updates. I will be taking these requests into consideration during development. Thank you!

Just curious, any eta on the next software update? And will the panning issue be fixed?(Not the implementation of the panning over video, but just having the PT pan window respond properly to touch)

Looks like someone has created a plug in that puts a panner window over picture. They use an I pad as a controller. I am going to try it out on the MTI. Here is a video demo of it. at 4 minutes is where he shows panning over picture. I still think something integrated directly into the Raven software would be more elegant. Also, partnering with Dolby for Atmos panning, and Barco for Auros panning would sweeten the deal. www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJLiDW0J_Pc

Hope this helps
