Hi Guys, I hope you can straighten out some things for me.
Sometimes I forget to close and save my Raven session BEFORE I have saved and closed Pro Tools (embarrassed)
Meaning I am then left to save and close Raven AFTER my Pro Tools session has been saved and shut down.
This mistake (above) results in me losing all my selected Raven icons from that project the next time that pro Tools project is opened, even after the saved Raven project file has been launched.
I know the real answer is, "dont be a dunce and make sure I shut down and save the Raven session before closing Pro Tools - and I wont have a problem"
But what I am trying to find out is .....,
Is "losing those icons" (from the incorrect save & shutdown order - the expected behaviour ?
..., or does the problem of "losing the icons" relate to the location of "where" I saved that Raven session file (see below) ?
This leads to my next question ? ............,
RE; the recommended way to save my Raven projects ..., Below is describing how I have beed saving them so far.
- When I have created a NEW pro Tools Project ......, ( lets call this new project ; My NewTune ),
- Pro Tools creates session folder called "My NewTune" ...., which I select to be stored in a drive I call ; "Pro Tools Projects Drive"
- Within that Pro Tools sessions folder (called; "My NewTune) ..., I have been creating a NEW folder as a storage location to house my Saved Raven Files for that project. I would name this ; "My Raven Session - My NewTune"
Note; I follow a similar procedure as above - for each NEW individual Pro Tools Project I create.
Question ; Is this the best procedure ,
....,or or is there a generic location these saved Raven files prefer to reside ?
Could you guys please confirm whether this method is right or wrong , what do you guys recommend ?
- Cheers
