Hi there, I'm new to MTi, so this might be something I'm missing: hitting the "Mixer 24" button divides the screen in the middle where the faders shift to the left, upper stays. Back to Mixer 22 everything is ok again. see screenshot…… what did i wrong here. thanks Walter |

Its possible that the Mix window isn't maximized all the way, so the 22-24 button is not hitting the correct x,y on the window.. Try Clicking the Green Maximize button and see if that works with the 22-24 faders..

jameyzthanks, but the mix windows IS maximized, all is ok when running in Mix22. But as I do understand the manual, Mix24 should hide the track list far left and expand the screen to 24 channel trips ……… any thoughts what's wrong here? thanks Walter

can you take a screen shot of what the mix window looks like without the Raven Faders showing?? while raven is set for 22 faders..

basically what happens: the Track/Group list do not behave as described in the manual (disappear) when using Mix 24.
btw. I cleared PT prefs and reinstalled Ney-fi, but no positive results
OSX 10.8.5 / 16 GB
PT10 (10.3.7) and PT11 (11.3.1)

I have a slate on test. The mixer loses connection with pro tools when using memory location. Reading the boards this seems a common issue. Surely your system works for 12 k. I'll be giving the unit back unless I see some explanation. Anyone who has brought it up has been mysteriously whisked away to a private room. Why not just tell us how to solve it here if its not a problem. All this ...make sure you've expanded the window etc is just patronising.

Also, whats aspect of the mixer is becoming out of sync? Thanks for reply but I think you know the issue. It seems to be general. When you drag on to the red line that should be it but it isn't. Most obvious when you set up memory locations for different mixer setups...like just the drums. When you got to men local ..with slate buttons or shortcuts it goes all out of alignment and you have to reset. So you turn off the slate software and just use single touch ptotools because it works. I think we all deserve an explanation or some hint that you ate working on fixing this.

Sorry, Johnny, but this is not the case with Raven. I'm using 80 different memory locations with filters when I'm doing ADR for TV and a lot of stored windows configurations. No problem at all.
Maximize the mixer, put some colors on the mixer channels and align the red vertical line. Make sure you are able to see the track colors after aligning.
If this works fine: make your other windows configs from this setting, or do alignment on every stored windows and make sure to save.

I am having a really bad experience with my Raven MTi. Might have been a completely waste of money !? Now I am using Pro Tools HD 11 without the Raven Software, and I find the whole situation quite weird ... naturally. Btw 2 ... I am using 'Expanded view' in send in PT, and because of that the faders in Raven hide the buttons rec, direct mon. mute, solo. Nice one ! If I un-click the 'exp. view' the buttons come to show, but direct mon. button never works in Raven, so I have to use the mouse ... Nice one too. And now, no meters on the faders in Raven, so whats the point with all this ? Well, I quit the Raven, and use the PT mixer instead. Not very responsive, but at least it works ! So I ask myself about this ... I honestly thought the Raven was going to expand my workflow from where I stand, not limit what I already got going, in order to work ... Yes, I know there are plenty of possibilities in Raven, and plenty of happy users, but right now that is not the point ... I don't think I could send it back, that's because I bought a demo-used copy. So I feel I've done a foolish move here ... so far. Just to let you know ...  Best, Geir |

He was referring to Quick Keys software that was running ok Walter's system. It showed the "Q" beside Dropbox icon.
I think you may be having some alignment and calibration issues. I'm running MTi with pro tools HD on Yosemite and it works perfectly. The colors on the mixer sometimes blink, but other than that it works great.
Expanded view is not supported (because it changes the position of everything) but direct monitor should work just fine. And there should be meters in your channels. If they are not showing, try to realign the interface. When they show, all the buttons including direct monitor, should work.

There are some requirements to follow during initial setup with RAVEN and modifications to the protools window. Sometimes these are slightly different from what a user who is not on a RAVEN is used to. Once you setup Pro Tools to RAVEN specs users are able to take full advantage of RAVEN.
Please look through the setup guides and manuals for all of the details. Also feel free to email me and we can set up a phone call/screen share setting and I can walk you through everything.

I've already followed every single step in the manual for setting this up, so I am not sure about the right track here ... I have a feeling there might be some kind of incompatibility issues. Anything in particular I should know of ? And Trevor, when will you guys come up with a solution to the Expanded Views ? Or are you ever gonna address this issue ? In the work ? At least one should be able to toggle back an forth so the Expanded views could be used ... Best, Geir |

I'm considering going through everything from scratch again. Give it another try.
Been planning on setting up a clean dedicated Pro Tools disk.
I might do that in the next couple of days, and get back to you guys.

Hey Geir,
Right now we cannot address the issue due to the technology we use to create the Pro Tools mixer. A full sends mixer can be accessed in the RAVEN external mixer.
Let me know how it goes if you do a re install.
