Hi again, had another couple of basic batch command questions and was hoping maybe someone here had some ideas!
•I'm trying to figure out a way to copy one of the default batch commands from one layout to another (or even from the factory ravlay to the custom one I'm trying to make my default). I know that the obvious way would be to hold the key and then look at the commands one by one, write them down and then go to my layout and re-enter each command one by one, but figured there might be a way to save/copy?
•Also, I'm realizing that for some reason many of the automatic commands aren't quite doing what they say for me - for example if I do Add Default EQ, it does add it on the selected track, but also adds it on the track that's the most to my left on my display? Other things I'm getting are stuff like the preset clear solo switches me from X solo to latch. I have set all the prefefences according to the manual but am getting certain weird random things like that with batch commands. Any ideas?
Thanks again!

Oh one more... copying a command or a group of hotkeys between layouts in the same ravlay doable?

Hi there, We are working on a way to save entire panels as presets so they can be recalled easily on other layouts.. But for now you may wanna try taking a screen shot of the panel you would like to copy and then "Save" each button to your user quick list.. Then you should be able to build the panel back pretty easily.. For adding Plug In Chains the mouse click is supposed to click the track to the far left so i would recommend using a "Show Selected Tracks" before running the add favorite plug in, then follow it with a "restore previous" for PT11 or "Show All" with PT10. here is a BC for adding a slate chain to selected tracks.. Add EQ DYN FAV 1 2 3.ravbc (1.62 KB) Focus Select Add VTM VMR.ravbc (2.72 KB) these work in PT11. Here is the video to make your own vocal chain. and another video to show user click adding plug ins and sends. which don't require fader focusing mouse clicks. for copying layouts. You can just save layout 2 to layout 8. Then layout out 1 to layout 7. Then re save layout 8 which used to be 2 to layout 1.. Then resave layout 7 aka layout 1 to layout 2. then you basically just switch the layout number.. peace Jamey Z

Hi Jamey, thanks so much for all these answers and all the info - will start digging through it now! Sorry for all the starter questions, just a couple days in and while loving what I can see I'll be able to do with this, still feeling like I'm walking on jelly haha. It's a funny balance between sticking to a workflow you like and know and yet not being close minded and changing it, because otherwise.. why buy this thing huh? Thanks again!

Ask all the questions you need.. We are here to help.. There is no doubt in my mind that I can work faster and smarter with Batch Commands.. But "old habits die hard" as they say.. Give it another week and you won't be able to work without BC's again.. I know I hate having to do session "The Old Fashion Way".. Do you have an IOS device??? Once this remote app comes out it will change DAW workflow forever.. peace

Yeah I can definitively see the potential to it once I get used to it! Just not there yet haha (but that seems obvious after only about 4 hours on it!). Trying out these and some of it is making more sense now, starting to understand some of the things such as the fact that you have to "close window" before adding more instructions! Anyways, since we're at it - tried to download your bc but when i hit import it tells me it's not compatible to my version (and I do believe I'm in the more recent one). I do have my iPhone so that'll proably work right? Thanks again!

The New BCer update will have a "window check" feature that will close any open windows before running the command, so this should be helpful,..
which version of PT are you on?? The BC I made was for PT11.

PT 11 too but I have a feeling I might have a bad install or something maybe? No matter how much I try I can't get the Raven Mixer to really get in place with the PT one, the height is different (it looks black with the ravens at the bottom instead of grey) and all my "put on insert a" or "put in send a" actually go to the second.. so I have the feeling it's not registering where stuff is properly. In fact, not sure - is it supposed to be the black mixer or the grey mixer that's the one that means it's sync'd? Also have something where all works great in general both in Logic 10.1 and PT 11 except turning Raven off (I always have to force quit it from my upper right menubar). Version 2.1.1 is the latest one that I found under my installers, that's correct right? Anyways, have a couple kinks to iron out here looks like, but again, still in the early phases of getting it going! Anyways, might post about that part on the non batch command section of the forum! Thanks again!

Just posted about it on the Raven Pro Tools page in case you have any ideas there and we want to keep topics within the proper boards! Thanks!
