Hi there , Ive just finished installing the new 2.1.1 update , and it is still not possible to load custom icons into icons palliate via its browser. Please don't mistake me for not busting anyones balls here, I'm not .., but I was hoping this would be fixed by now with this update (going by information received) The ICONS I am trying to save / add to the icons pallate - are the exact same Icons (ie; screenshots) that did previously load into the icons palate "custom icons tab" in the earlier version ie; Raven 2.0 ...., now they wont even load at all in both later versions; 2.1.0 & 2.1.1 , Even though I was able to load Icons in ver 2.0 - these problems arose (http://slate.boards.net/thread/86/custom-channel-icons ...., post from Oct 11th)If the Icons issue has not yet been fixed in version 2.1.1 ...., what was actually fixed / improved / added in version 2.1.1 ? - as there are no release notes available for this 2.1.1 update

also ..., in ver 2.1.1 - the red clip LIGHTS on the fader meters "are still not able to be reset on the Mix Page" ..., unless you either ;
- Hide raven from your pro tools session ..., or , - Switch to the Edit window
(when I say the RED cliplight cant be reset , I am referring to turning off / resetting the clip light by mouse clicking on it)

Hey Seafoam,
Please upload the icons you are trying to load. I try them on my end, this seems to be an isolated issue, we did address it and are not experiencing issues on our end.

I also have done the update and still no joy with the icons:( Next step that i think i will be trying is wiping my iMac and fresh installing with Yosemite and Protools from the ground up and seeing what happens... Let me know if Raven is not up to Yosemite yet ... I'll be trying this in the next day or 2 ...
Peace at Christmas to everyone:)

Hi Markzed, We have not approved Yosemite yet (http://slate.boards.net/thread/166/raven-batch-commander-osx-yosemite) But people have been using them together.
Hope this helps,
Kind Regards,

Im stoked the icons are now working ..., Just a few questions .., Q - Ive noticed that the custom icons panel in the Ravens icon palette - is limited to a maximum import of custom icon topping out at just under 16 rows ? ...., Is it possible to have this increased with a future update ? Q - Is it also possible (with a future update) to allow our custom icons to be moved to the ravens tabs (ie; Guitar , drums etc) ..., as these are nearly half empty anyway ? Re ; The Ravens stock icons ...., ( constructive opinions please) * Some people may like the Ravens stock icons ..., but for me personally - I dont like using any of those stock Raven icons ......, because; ( to me) there is too much going on in those little icons that it makes protools look way too cluttered and confusing. When I say too much going on ......., I mean within the ICON itself - as they show the instrument represented ( which is enough IMO) ..., plus the font/print description , and the icons also feature "complicated bright background colors" that have shading differences and also shadows of the instruments highlighted on the floor ? ..., Im sure these ICONS originally looked nice and fancy blown up on a large computer screen , but when shrunk down to "icon size" ..., IMO - There is far too much information going on inside that TINY little photo. For me these icons are meant to be immediately recognised at a quick sideways glance , and ( to me) these Stock Raven ICONS severely distract from that. Note; lets not forget that we already have the tracks description available directly below the ICONS (even though it is a shortened version of what pro tools is capable of) ..., plus we also have the comments box if needed ..., and that is also why I prefer the icons to be as simple as possible.

I have just noticed that ;
- if an icon is added to a track which has already been made "inactive" ..., then the icons window freezes up and a forced exit of Raven is required.
- If an active track containing an icon is then made "inactive" ...., then that icon is permanently lost from that track once the track has been made inactive, even if the track is made active again.

thanks for the input Seafoam.
I can't say any of this is happening on my Raven. When I add a Icon then make the track inactive the icon clears out of the window. But as soon as I make the track active the Icon pops right back into place.. I believe the icons save what the name of the track was they where supposed to live on. So unless the track name changed or another new audio file took its name, then I can't see why this would happen..
There is a new update coming out very soon, so perhaps this will fix the issue for you.. if it doesn't maybe you can shoot us a quick screencast of the issue..
peace
