I am having a tough time figuring out how to get the MTi and the iMac to share windows while using iTunes. The MTi is the primary display per the instructions for setting up with ProTools, and that works just fine for ProTols. But when I run iTunes, the MTi displays the itunes window and there is nothing that I can drag up to the iMac so that it will display more than just that grey background wallpaper. I don't like the iMac screen to be static. I can't even get the iTunes visualizer to open on the iMac, only on the MTi. Is there a way to do this so that at least the iMac screen is protected, and occupied doing something?

The iTunes visualizer seems to mess up my screens too. Try moving/dragging your Top Menu Bar to the other screen. Maybe iTunes is always set up to be under the Menu bar.. hope this helps.. peace.

Thanks Jamey. But if I do that then the MTi screen becomes static. I also don't want to have to keep going back to display settings and shifting the menu bar around as I go back and forth from iTunes to ProTools. I cannot believe that Apple won't allow shared screens with iTunes.

Hi Jeff,
Have you tried dragging windows between the screens in other application? I suggest opening iTunes and then shrinking the size of the itunes window and then drag it up to your imac.

Thanks Trevor. iTunes 12 is very picky. I am not sure that can even minimize its screen. But I will try that to see if that works. If I am able to drag the itunes screen to the iMac, then what can I do to protect the MTi from being static too long? I don't want either screen to be damage from being static for too long.

The screen used in the MTi will not be affected by being static, I am assuming you are worried about a burn in?
