How does the programming of the "auto suspend" and "preview auto" differ? when i use "suspend" there is no mouse movement but the suspend button in the automation window is clicked. When I use "preview" the mouse pointer actually moves and clicks the button, sometimes incorrectly. Are they not both mouse click short cuts?

Auto suspend is a key shortcut and preview auto is a mouse click on the automation window. And AB preview auto will option click preview to Quickly bypass in the automation window.
most automation BC's are HD only and all windows must be closed for the mouse click to work in the automation window. Try using CMND 5 before and after the mouse click to toggle the automation window and will always bring the window to the front.
