Hello Djtoc. Here are the required system specs to successfully operate a Raven MTi:
The RAVEN MTi will run on any Mac computer, however we recommend these specifications for optimal performance. - OSX 10.7 (Lion,) OSX 10.8 (Mountain Lion,) and OSX 10.9 (Mavericks) 10 - Intel i7 or Xeon processor with a clock speed of at least 2.4 GHz. - Minimum 2GB RAM (We recommend 4GB for good performance.) - Graphics card with minimum 512MB memory, though 1GB graphics memory is recommended - Any Mac Pro produced after 2010 is ideal and will meet all the requirements, though MacBook Pro’s, Mac Mini’s and iMac’s meeting the requirements should do fine. Graphic response speed will vary depending on the capabilities of the computer’s graphics card.

Hi All, Im extremely interested in the MTi 27 but I have a 27" iMac with an intel i5 3.1 ghz quad core with 20 gig ram and a 6970 graphics card with 1gig memory and even thou it meets all the requirement except the i7 part was wondering it it would still work? Any help would be great, if it wont work I'll have to stick with my command 8 till I can justify upgrading to the new Mac Pro. Cheers G

Hello pdv76,
Yes - you're computer should support RAVEN MTi very well as long as your computer is a release after 2008.

I am running Pro Tools 11 HD and just saw the video for the new RAVEN 2.0 software upgrade. A few questions:
1. The channel strips appear to now be strictly Pro Tools setup which I like. Is this the case? The earlier software version had the upper 2/3rds of the screen being from ProTools and the lower third being from Raven.
2. If the channel strip is indeed all Pro Tools 11, does that mean we no longer have to "align" the Raven channels with the PT11 channels?
3. No mention in the video whether RAVEN 2.0 supports dual RAVEN MTi monitors. Will RAVEN 2.0 support dual monitors?
4. Will the new RAVEN 2.0 have a selection to choose, upon boot up, the DAW one is using?

Hi rn2956,
1. The channel strips will be fully integrated with Pro Tools 11 HD.
2. We are currently developing this feature and hope to include it in a future update post Raven 2.0 release.
3. Yes, the new build will support dual monitors.
4. Yes, when you boot up the Raven software, you will choose which DAW you are working in.
We are happy you are enjoying the Raven MTi and will encourage you to ask any questions you may have in the future. Thanks!

I was told by a JC rep that the Raven MTi (Raven 2.0) it's optimized for Pro Tools 11 and if you are using Pro Tools 10 you would lose some of the capabilities of the MTi. I have a free upgrade to Pro Tools 11 but I've been concerned about loosing some of my plug ins. My main concern would be that the new batch commands would not work with Pro Tools 10.

Incorrect! Raven 2.0 is optimized for both Pro Tools 10 and 11. Do you know who told you this information Josh? If you let me know what store location it would be extremely helpful. Can the 'global preferences' be stored in any other way than with a particular session? By that, I mean the window configuration of Raven's main elements and tools.

Raven templates or ".ravlays" are saved by using the "Save Raven" function. This can be specific to each session or set as a default depending on your workflow.

What are the steps to show colors on the Raven Mixer for each track? I only see grey Raven overlay tracks half way up the track, then the default Pro Tools 11 tracks all show up in the colors that I chose for them above the grey Raven faders.
Thanks.

The new Raven 2.0 software will allow the colors of the tracks to blend together. No longer will you see the gray Raven faders. This new software will be out June 27th. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks.

This works perfectly with Raven software 2.0 and PT 11.1.3...but I still get the grey area around the faders in PT 11.2 Will this be addressed in the next Raven software update?
