I know this is a long shot, but perhaps someone else has had this issue and can help. I don't think Raven has any bearing, but I can't seem to get much from Native Instruments and Avid.
Here is my scenario: When I boot up my Mac Pro (trashcan) I can open the Komplete Kontrol software in standalone and the keyboard works perfectly in all ways. However, when I boot up PT and subsequently Raven (I have 2 MTI 2's) and instantiate Komplete Kontrol on an instrument track, the Keyboard goes stupid. I can manually open an instrument in Komplete Kontrol and play/record from the keyboard but none of the rotary encoders and buttons respond to anything, they just don't work! I can manually change a parameter within the KK instrument and see it react in real time on the keyboard, but again, the knobs and buttons don't work. I know that Raven most likely has nothing to do with this problem, but one comment I did receive from NI said something about their hardware using HUI and Avid hasn't allowed developers access to it or something of that nature. Anyway, since Raven does use HUI I thought perhaps someone could over a suggestion concerning HUI. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Any help would be greatly appreciated!! the "Komplete Kontrol" does have HUI option if you want to use the transport controls, but that will mess up the RAVEN software. However, everything that is MIDI should work fine. I would try it in Ableton and see if the MIDI knobs work better, as there is probably a pro tools midi setting or issue that is not sending the controller data from the rotary knobs.

Ok, thanks Jamey, I haven't tried it in Ableton but I will. I don't need the transport controls, I just want to be able to pull up instruments and make changes from the keyboard instead of using the mouse. It used to work that way, but something most likely in Pro Tools has changed. Thanks again!

If it's any help I use the same set up in digital performer with no issues. I would guess it is a setting in PT.

Sorry it took so long to post this, but I found the problem and fixed it. The problem was in the plugins folder of PT, there was a corrupted plugin in that folder so every time I launched PT and instantiated Komplete Kontrol on a track that corrupted plugin would cause the keyboard to lock up. I copied the Plugins (PT) folder to my desktop and then deleted them from PT. Then it was just a matter of adding the plugins back into PT one at a time and testing the keyboard each time until I found the plugin that locked it up and then deleted that one completely. Then I just continued adding the plugins back in one at a time and all was good after that!!! It was a lengthy process, but well worth the effort because now my Komplete Kontrol keyboard works perfectly in PT!

Drag plugin file to desktop then add back half of the plugs at once. If it's in there proceed to find it by cutting that in half etc. etc. If not try the other half and proceed.
