linksometimes it does other times i have to restart computer ..my other 2 non touch screens open fully all the time

mac tower 2x3.46 GHz 6-core intel zenon 48 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 ...ATI Radeon HD 5770 running mt lion for PT and sierra for internet ...and it's intermittent..today screen opened fine yesterday it opened with the blank in the left and i had to restart to get it to go to full screen
