Is there a sensible way to open the track name dialog of the selected track (or even first selected track) from within a batch command? Recording a double-click on the track name is obviously tricky because it's a moving target. I've had luck adding inserts to the selected track via the whole Show Only Selected Tracks / Restore Previous game, but I was just wondering if there was a more straight forward approach that I'm overlooking. I know there are some stock BCs that pop in specific track names, so I'm assuming it can be done somehow.

There is not a way to get the track name open yet with a Batch Command.
But for the next update we have added some UI Accessibility features so we can access any buttons on Pro Tools without having to do mouse clicks. This will make Naming, plugin chains, fader focus much faster and slicker since it will not rely on the mouse clicking.

Ok, thank you Jamey. I am liking the sounds of what you've described of this next update. For now, I'll see if there's any sort of clumsy workaround I can come up with, and if all else fails, I'll just stick with our old friend the mouse.
