Hey there, just saw stevens vlog showing vmr 2 and was REALLY intrigued by those two "fader group" batch command panels he's using to navigate through the different instrument groups of his mix (you can see them quite well in the video at about 1:57) It seems like they're not connected to the pro tools internal groups, since there are none in slates pt session. So, I checked the quicklist for them but I can't seem to find any of the commands - so, does anyone have a clue how to set these batch commands up & running? would be really cool to know. here's the link for the vlog if you need it: Raw Tracks To Polished Mix with Slate VMR 2.0 & RAVENthanks in advance! Here are a few videos on how to setup fader groups.

Brilliant tutorial indeed. Is there an equivalent in logic?

Brilliant tutorial indeed. Is there an equivalent in logic? This is kind of an old one, I think Logic may have broken this key command. I will update the key commands in the next RAVEN update.

I wish they could do it, for some reason DP doesn't send track show / hide data out the Mackie control ports. I am sure they can add that in somehow. I will still search around for a solution.

Hi Jamey I called MOTU tech support to see if they can get their devs to add show hide over mackie protocol. Any chance Raven devs could incorporate the folder or fader fader group functions or window sets from DP into the Raven? Is this entirely dependent on Mackie Protocol? I requested again for size width option mixer in DP to match Raven. Or will Raven ever do a skinny floating mixer? Also requested DP have an option to show colors at the top of the mixer. Anyway, it seems like both the companies are so close. It's a catch 22 for DP users. The cost of 2 more Raven licenses to use PT for mixing is not a deal breaker. I have PT 11 but it does not have the track colors or many of the features that make a difference. Jumping into the newest PT may be the only answer to get some of the features. But the features in DP that I would lose in PT is a deal breaker. It's kind of limbo land at this point. I thought MOTU and Raven could have figured out something by now. Anyway I appreciate all you do and hopefully you can get the Devs to send some love in the DP users direction. Thanks Update... I've been looking for a work around the in Track Selector Window of DP to get show hide mixer channels. You can assign groups and key commands to in the command window (shift L) . See attachement. So that works for the DP side of things. A workaround at this point may be a floating mixer in a static 16 channel format and banking. Then fly in the dp mixer above it for the track groups. I don't know it seems this should not be so difficult... DP Mixer follows the Raven Mixer banking in Mackie Protocol. Any ideas?

That looks awesome. The layout Batch Commands could do the trick. We just need MOTU to add a feature to the Mackie Controller data that only sends data for the tracks shown in the layout. Then the RAVEN would follow along.

Hey, Here are a few videos on how to setup fader groups. This one takes it one step further: JAMEYZ... can this now be done in DP 10? Show hide tracks? If so can you please do a video? Thanks

We would need DP to unlock the Show Hide for mackie control first.
