I understand that you guys have already built some mouse clicks into the program, but there are some rather complex macros I've worked up with keyboard maestro that I'm unable to make happen within batch commander at the moment.
For example: (a rather simple one) Creating a new Stereo bus through the IO setup dialog
1. select menu item setup->IO (I can use IO Setup in batch commander)
2. select bus tab "command+3"
3. click 'new path' <---- this is something I'm unable to do at the moment with batch commander
and from there I can add more silliness to taste, but I'm stuck at the mouse move.
One other one I'd like to replace is a bit more complicated as it involves multiple mouse clicks within the Peripherals menu. ...
(within midi controllers) I'd like to be able to click each drop down menu "type", "receive from", "send to", and "# Ch's" for, at minimum, row #1. I currently get this down with image comparisons and then measured mouse movements relative to a starting point. I don't need mouse clicks to select the items within the menus once they're clicked as I can use key commands for that, but getting to the menus within BC is currently something I'm unable to do.
Why do I need such a complicated one? It has to do with being able to use Wave Rider, a plugin that uses the HUI protocol for volume automation, but I like to be able to turn it on and off as I please.
If it were possible to offer users control over creating their own mouse movements that would be fantastic for me, but I understand that it would likely add a lot more complexity to a program that is trying to do the exact opposite.
I'd love to get away from the silliness that is my current macro setup and go entirely batch commander, but there's a few things holding me back. Mouse movements being the biggest one, but I also am looking forward to being able to cue BC macros with my own key command or external device like an x-key controller.
Great work guys! This will inevitably change the way I work within the DAW and I'm very much looking forward to it.
