I'm trying to use a quicklist command to add a new insert on a track while in the pro tools edit window view but it looks like the cursor is moving up to the portion of the screen where the insert slot would be if I was in the mix window view. Is it possible to work exclusively from the edit window and still use all the Batch Commander quicklist commands? Or are the mouse cursor movements only programmed to work in mix view?
Thanks, Clay

Have to be in mix window. But there are some BC's for the edit window though. youtu.be/si6y4ocncn0I do have a way to add to edit window but it can do 1 track only at a time. Also it requires Keyboard Maestro 3rd party app.

I see, thanks for the info!
Probably a deal breaker for me. I'm a sound designer and I work exclusively from the edit window. I really love the concept of batch commander though and I'd love to know if there are any workarounds or updates that can support full functionality from the edit window in the future.

Anything is possible with this software, so I am sure in the near future we will be able to support that feature..
But there are 100's more BC's for the edit window that I think are more useful than the custom plug ins.. I could program a couple mouse moves for the edit window. But they would require a certain screen setup. I'll get something like this next week.

Definitely! I am still exploring all that's available with BC and I can see there are still a lot of really useful commands I can use in edit. Adding plugins is pretty important for me though, thanks so much for looking into it!

Is BC still limited to being only on your first monitor, or can it now be used on a 2nd monitor (I don't mean in addition to the first). I keep my mix window on my second monitor, and my edit on my first.

It will work on either monitor and none need to be the main. Just have to make sure that the window you want it to talk to is brought to the front.
I guess it was always this way, but i just didn't realize it would still work until i tried it the other day.

So any batch command has to be done in the Mix window - it can't be done from the edit window?
Also - I have the demo and some of the presets that come with it do things that shouldn't - is that a bug?

There aren't any bugs in the Batch Commands. It is probably a setup issue. Some mouse clicks are for the Mix Window, and some mouse clicks are for the Edit Window. If you would like to chat send me a contact request on skype (vintagesynthaddict) and I will show you how to get it all working..
