During my session, the pro tools lost connection with HUI. That seemed to have caused such things like when pressing the solo button, it didn't turn yellow but soloed the tracks. Also when moving the fader on the raven skin, it had no effect on the actual pro tools fader, meaning nothing happened.
I trashed my pro tools prefs, restarted, re-setup the midi devices and peripherals and the problem still remained. Maybe it's just specific to this one session now?
Has anyone experienced this before?
Thanks!

I have been having this problem with Raven for Windows 10 that installs with Ney Fi. If I trash PT preferences and set up HUI and Peripherals again PT will be connected for a while... until it spontaneously disconnects and buttons do nothing. To get it working again I have to delete PT prefs again and setup HUI etc or there is no connection. My last resort is I am going to try a new version of the Raven software that has V-control instead of Ney Fi.

Here is an article on how to change the permissions, slatemt.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/226167528-Ney-Fi-crashing-or-not-connecting-to-Raven-on-Windows-The Raven communication could be getting blocked from firewall or Anti-Virus software such as Mcafee or Windows 360 defender. Try turning any of these apps off and see if it helps the issue.
Also, maybe a clean install of Pro Tools could help.

I uninstalled Ney Fi and installed V-Control Pro instead, but the Raven interface is unresponsive. I also reinstalled the Raven MTi2 software. Then I deleted Pro Tools prefs and then went and added all the HUI settings etc for Raven... this time even that did not make Raven connect to Pro Tools.
I went through and checked permissions on V-Control and Raven. This is hours of useless work...
Oh and I turned Windows Firewall off and Windows Defender too.
The only thing productive is that Woodwind and Brasswind approved me to return the Raven MTi.

The one from the website will not work. Please email me and I will get you the correct installer.

The only version of V-Control I installed was provided to me from Slate with the Raven installer, it did not help. Raven still does not stay connected to Pro Tools.

I am embarrassed to say, even though my Raven MTi2 is approved to be sent back, I spent my entire Saturday clean installing Windows 10 and Pro Tools and all my software and plugins... It took hours and finally, I installed Slate MTi2, following every detail and it worked... I quit PT and started Raven again... and nothing!!!! -(!X&* Now Raven has no connection with Pro Tools, nothing I press does anything and it is exactly the same as before I reinstalled everything. What a massive waste of time!

Yes, whatever "something" this is, is standard in Windows 10 or Pro Tools, because I did a clean install on a new PC. Seems like maybe Raven MTi2 software should be adequately tested before it is released.

Seems like maybe Raven MTi2 software should be adequately tested before it is released. Its been out for year and half and been tested on countless Windows 10 systems. Lets setup another screen share and see what it could be.. Maybe ney fi needs some special permissions on your machine...
