Hi,
I just received my Slate Raven MTi2 and am having quite a few issues getting started with it. Batch command seems to only work intermittently for me. For instance, If I create a button for a task I do all the time, say enable preview automation in the automation window, it works, albeit a little laggy. I hit the button, BC thinks, then grabs the cursor from wherever it was over to the preview window and presses it. However, if I then move the automation window to another place on the screen, when I hit the BC button I have made the cursor moves to wherever the automation window used to be and does nothing. Same goes for some Solo/Mute shortcuts I have made for my VCA masters. As long as I don't move the window, they work fine, if a bit slow, but once I move the window the cursor just goes to where the Solo/Mute button used to be.
Also, I have made some buttons for things like copy pan automation/repeat paste to fill selection that only work on the session they were created in until that session is closed. Once the session is reopened, they no longer work. In addition, if I try to use the buttons on a new session none of the commands convey and I have to remake every button. Any Ideas?

You can use the "Align Window Top Left" BC to force any windows to always open in the correct spot. Use the quick list commands for none X/Y based. So the "Preview" quicklist item will follow the window around. You will also find these in the Post layout, or the Music Layout. There should be full panels programmed with HD Automation features. Can you send me the Copy automation BC?? Are you sure your automation settings are correct in the other sessions??? |

I have found the automation section in the Post layout, on layout 5. Some of those buttons I use all the time. Some not at all. I was hoping to build a little master suite of the buttons I use all the time, but it seems that there is no master page where everything is visible to pick and choose from, hence my attempt to build one in Batch Command.
And perhaps I wasn't clear on that last sentence. What I meant to say was that if I try to use the Batch Command session on a new Pro Tools session, none of the commands convey.
Also, when the Raven Mixer is showing channel solo's/mutes don't seem to work.

So I am actually using the quick list command for "preview". Try adding a CMDN Numpad 4 to always bring the Automation window front, because if there is a plugin or another window in front of it, it will click that window. I have found the automation section in the Post layout, on layout 5. Some of those buttons I use all the time. Some not at all. Right now you can only copy the Panels, or you can overwrite entire layouts, so you could overwrite 5 with layout 3. What I meant to say was that if I try to use the Batch Command session on a new Pro Tools session, none of the commands convey. So even New track won't work when you open a new pro tools session? or are the Ravlays not savin?? Be sure to press "Save Layout" then overwrite the current layout so the changes are saved. Then press "Save Raven Session" to save the Ravlay. Also, when the Raven Mixer is showing channel solo's/mutes don't seem to work. be sure you are banked to the correct tracks. These should work fine. or perhaps the alignment or a touch gesture is off. |
