Hey all...
Just curious if anyone else has this problem......when initially touching a fader writing automation with the Raven, sometimes the fader will 'jump' up or down a bit when it senses your finger. It doesn't necessarily seem to be related to how accurately you touch near the centre of the fader, sometimes the fader will jump and sometimes it won't - even if you're touching near the top of bottom. Depending on what you're doing (especially on master fades or group master fades) it can be pretty audible. I've tried using fine faders mode, the jump doesn't tend to be as much but the fader travel in fine mode isn't enough to do a full master fade (from 0 to all the way down at the end of a song). In fine mode, the movement also seems to be velocity sensitive - so quick movements have a bigger effect and slow movements (like a master fade) take more movement for an equal increase/decrease in volume.
SO - it would be great to have a mode whereby your initial touch on a fader will NOT cause the fader to move at all, it will only move once you start to actually move your finger after touching the screen. Not sure if that makes any sense, but hopefully I'm not alone in wanting to be able to touch and hold a fader without it moving before I start an automation move. The iPad app for Pro Tools seems to work this way, but unfortunately there's no fine faders mode. It would also be great to be able to switch off the 'velocity sensitivity' in fine faders mode, so the speed of your movement doesn't affect how far the fader travels....
