Sometimes I have a discrepancy between the Raven faders and the actual PT's ones. PT 12.5.0 HD on MacPro 5,1. Attaching pictures, first one is PT, second is Raven pro tools vs raven 1.tiff (244.75 KB) pro tools vs raven 2.tiff (294.75 KB) Ideas welcome, thanks !

Try hitting bank left/right 1 or 24 and see if it aligns. Also, maybe check your HUI peripheral settings to be sure they are correct.

I would also recommend turning on our track colors, this way you will know when Raven isn't lined up properly with the pro tools mixer.

I'd like to weigh in here too. Unfortunately I'm unable to open the tiff files from my tablet, but I've been experiencing a fader discrepancy as well. Jamey, you've address a channel strip alignment issue but, at least in my case, I can move my raven faders to, say -38.7dB, hide the raven mixer, and the actual Pro Tools mixer will indicate something like -36.2dB. Saving the PT session and restarting Raven results in the -36.2dB being shown on the Raven. This has actually proven to be a huge deal with one of my clients who, for some reason, needs to see the numbers matching what he saw before. I'm running OSX.8.5 and ProTools 10 (where I've noticed this) and PT11. Also, in anticipation of the universal question "why are you still on that operating system despite the fact that newer ones are very stable?" I can only reply - because that's where the bulk of my plugins, and my 2009 12 core Mac computer are happiest. Any help, guidance or suggestions for rescaling the Raven to exactly match the PT faders would be welcome and necessary. Thanks

Could try trashing v-control prefs or changing the v-control port. Although I have a feeing it could just be the resolution at really low db values, what if you try a value more like -6.5db???

Hey Jamey, the closer we get to 0.00 the more accurate the match - basically exactly the same in almost all cases. It's as if the scale for the Raven faders is different than that of the Pro Tools and the difference is amplified on the extremes. As for trashing the V-control preferences - where are they located? I'll try that. I did try an alternate port (7072? - one up from the default) and the Raven didn't connect to it at all. If it is the resolution that differs greatly at really low dB values - is this acceptable "normal" behavior for the Raven? and, are we (galantesteve and I) the only ones who have ever experienced this?

Hey Jamey, Reset V-Control prefs - no difference. Tried to access the other link for changing the port and got a "YOU'RE NOT AUTHORIZED" notice. Any other way to access that information? Thanks.

I guess we got rid of that article since the newest v-control doesn't have those same issue. I think what you are just seeing the limitations of HUI resolution at low dB values. When I make a track -46.7 on Raven it will show as 47.1 on Pro tools.. But when I set the level on Pro Tools Raven seems to follow the numbers a little better.

I can say that I've experienced this with GROUPS. I could have the groups set at -7.5 on Raven, but in the PT edit window only 1 channel would be at -7.7 or -7.3....
