I'm having trouble accessing the Pro Tools commands which are available only with a right-click of the mouse, e.g Rename bus.
The equivalent Raven technique is to hold down one finger on a fader and then single touch with another finger, but I can't seem to get it to work.
Any ideas, anyone?

If this is on OSX you could probably do it using the control modifier and then clicking (and depending on what type of pointing device you have Apple might even let you adjust that -- they have been getting stranger and stranger with these types of things lately).

Yes - I'm on Mac OSX. It's easy to use CTRL-left-click to access most standard OSX right-click operations, but Pro Tools has many functions which are right-click only, i.e. CTRL-left-click doesn't work. Hence the need for a good working equivalent in Slate. Unfortunately, the method I described above doesn't seem to work (for me, anyway...).
Here are just some of the commands which use right-click.
Pro Tools right-click commands which can't be accessed using CTRL-left-click:
Track commands: Rename Input Rename Output Rename Aux Send
Track Inserts commands: Bypass Make Active Automation Safe Automation Dialogue...
Group commands: Tracks Modify Duplicate Delete Select Tracks Hide Tracks Show Only Tracks In Group Show All Tracks
Pro Tools right-click commands which CAN be accessed using CTRL-left-click, but don't work when the Slate mixer overlay is on-screen:
Track commands: Hide/show Make Active/Inactive Scroll Into View New Rename Duplicate Split Into Mono Delete

Maybe we can add in a special gesture for Right Click on MTi1.
Right now on MTi2 I have 3 finger tap set to right click, which is easier then trying to do the press and tap on MTi1 to get the right click..

Hi Jamey - that would be a very welcome addition.
Thanks, Mick

inserts, plug ins parameters etc etc.
If we are trying to replace the mouse on most tasks. I consider imperative and logical, to have the left and right mouse clicks alone as a command in the quick list

I consider imperative and logical, to have the left and right mouse clicks alone as a command in the quick list which inserts, why would you want to right click an insert??? You can use the "align window top left" batch command before any recording clicks and the window will always show in the correct spot. The Recording feature will do right clicks. We can add left and right mouse clicks in the quicklist becuase there is too many things on the screen to click. We did add a few though.. Right Click "Groups" "plugin menu" "tracklist".

I think what Jameyz is trying to say is that it's not really very useful to have a "blind" right click button as you somehow still need to tell the mouse cursor (or touch cursor in this case) where it needs to click, so at that point you could just click/touch the area you want to start at and build a batch command that takes it from there ... I guess it also depends on which DAW you're trying to use in terms of right vs left click on things, but also don't forget you can also still use a traditional pointing device along with the touch screen! Sometimes a mouse/trackball is still the thing to get the job done!

i just want freedom to move around and have thios left and right mouse clicks and add to the another action in batch commander... maybe these will help, the will click the current mouse position. Just copy them into .. user\library\application support\Slate Media Technology\Raven MTi\Python\ProTools\Single\PT12 option click the "go" tab in finder to open the user library. Click.py (60 B) Right Click.py (65 B)
