Hello there,
Totally newbie here. Is it possible to write a batch command which drags a selected clip from the clip menu to a track and moves it to the original timestamp? (one click in the spot-dialog field) In a perfect world it would also be possible to repeat this operation for every clip in the clip menu.
Thanks for helping!

This is possible with the Raven Record features. It will take a little programming skills to edit so it will drag. If you have Xcode it is pretty sweet, or else text edit should work. 1. Click the clip in the clips list with the record feature 2. Open the recording in an XML editor and edit the script to use mouse down and drag 3. Record a click on the "use original time stamp" 4. Make the Batch Command. here are my python scripts I edited and the BC. click clip 3.py (184 B) CLICK ORIGINAL STAMP.py (73 B) DRAG CLIP 5.ravbc (754 B) Here is a little video on how to do it. Here is the link to python cheat sheet to see how to program different clicks. pyautogui.readthedocs.io/en/latest/cheatsheet.html

"This is possible with the Raven Record features."
Is the Batch Command in the Raven software any different to the "stand alone" Batch Command software? I don't own a Raven yet.
"1. Click the clip in the clips list with the record feature" I can't record a mouse click in the batch editor. There is simply nothing recorded if I click on the one clip
Thanks again and a happy sunday!

Pretty much same software, after you record the click, you have to add it into the action line from the user quicklist .

got it,
2. Open the recording in an XML editor and edit the script to use mouse down and drag
I tried to export the recording from the quicklist menu. The "Export Batch Command" window pops up, I name it, I click "save as" and voila nothing is saved. So I can't open the file into an XML Editor...

You will need to grab the recording manually, as user recorded clicks cant be exported, since their original python script is part of the BC..
They are in your user/library/appsupport/slatemedia/batchcommander/Python
In order to navigate to the User/Libary, hold down the Option Modifier while clicking the "Go" tab in finder. This will reveal the User Library. Once opened, scroll to Application Support/Slate Media Technolgy/Raven.
I like to keep this folder in my quick access as it holds all the user batch command data..

got it, I successfully got the curser to click on a clip.
but I can't get the mouse do moves, or dragging. I used Oxygen "XML Editor" or "Text Edit". I copied the script from the cheat sheet and your video. If I try to record a movement only "clicks" are showing up in the script

ok, we're coming closer. now I got the dragging from clip tp arrange. spot dialog pops up. I'd want to add "click on orig Timestamp" and "OK" in the same batch.
the user scripts for that are working on their own, but they don't if I add them into the batch editor from User Menu. I fiddeld with different delay times, but even a with longer delay 1000ms they aren't working.

Try recording your own click on the "OG timestamp" then follow it with a little delay Something like this.
