Boy are you in the wrong place.. This forum is for the Slate Raven product..
Make sure you are using the TD30 midi map for SSD5 if there is one. I used to use my old TD20 with SSD5 but needed the map file for all the mapping to work correctly..

Not sure there is a way to select what starts first/last (maybe there is, but I don't know). However, you can delay your startup items .. Maybe delay everything except v control. Check out: www.makeuseof.com/tag/add-remove-delay-startup-items-mac/However, I'm with jamey and never had to touch v-control on startup. Boot my mac, then launch pro tools from the raven app. no probs

Looks like you are getting this sorted out on another thread.. I run two MTi2's on my mac mini. one off the hdmi port and one off a TB3>Tb2 adapter then HDMI to TB2 cable.. no issues whatsoever..
Also, this forum (apart from the amazing Jamey) is pretty dead and you may have better luck from the facebook raven page..
good luck

Typically when PT is loading you can see your plugins being checked (loading)at the bottom. see if it hangs on any particular one.

Yeah Jamey, didn't expect a smoking gun on this one. More of a, has anyone else seen this type of question..
System is Mac pro (trashcan), Mojave, PT2019 (latest)
I will try to keep an eye on events that lead up to the settings being lost. I haven't seen any PT crashes, but starting without the VRS8 powered on could be one possibility..
thanks

Hey raven dudes.. I know I should probably open a case. I have noticed lately that a dual raven system on MAC running pro tools looses its configuration.. Fire up a new session and the mixer window is all jacked up and no faders or play button work. Go into peripherals and notice all the HUI mapping is empty. Go into midi studio and all the Vcontrol options are not checked. Trying to figure out what is causing this. This system gets a lot of tinkering as its in a public library, but I doubt kids are going through that much trouble of un-checking things. Does this happen to anyone else? I did do a osx security update, wonder if that caused it? I have seen this happen about 3 or 4 times in the last 6 months..

There are lots of options for every budget.. From the low end Mackie little Knob, Big Knob to the Presonus monitor station. Depends on what features you want need. Suggest heading over to sweetwater.com and searching for monitor stations
good luck

Wrong forum my friend. This is for Raven and batch commander. Best take your question the facebook forum. BTW: I have always been able to sync temp with SSD4 in PT. Been doing that for years. I dont have SSD5 yet, but would image would work the same..

I believe you put this in the wrong place. This is Raven and Pro Tools. Unless there was a logic skin update for pro tools, your pic looks like logic.

Ah! Sorry. I thought that the "General" covered the other stuff. Do you know where a forum is for the Everything Bundle? I thought this was it...I are doofus...Face Facebook is your friend. Pretty much all discussion is going on there nowadays..

Thats what I do.. Just drag the edit window to the above monitor. I would then set up window configurations in PT. Jamey put a great tutorial on here on how to set it up. I then have two buttons on my raven , mix front, edit front that will switch the two.. easy peasy..

Well, guess my upgrade plan to go to 2018.1 today is dead in its tracks.. I know the guys are all probably out at Namm, but how could this sneak up on them. Doesn't anyone talk to anyone over at Avid? I understand maybe being a little behind on being compatible, but at least a heads up that a new version of PT is coming and tell us Raven folks not to upgrade would have been nice.
Anxious to hear the plans for compatibility. Would like to try some of the new 2018 features in PT.

Not sure I follow you.. Point of the mix window is to have visual faders that you can grab..Are you saying the raven internal mixer is popping up or the normal PT mixer?

I sent this question to Slate support but their email TODAY (Jan 6) said they won't return until January 2nd. This is a general question. I am about to buy the bundle. I have an iLok2 that I use for Pro Tools and a few other plugins. Can I use that iLok for the Slate licenses or is it best to buy from Slate and assign it to a completely different email address? Thanks I use my PT ilok2 just fine. You can use the same one for ALL your licenses. no need to get a separate one from slate. Only reason I can think of to get a separate one is if you plan on working on other rigs and carrying your ilok with you to other studios. -D

Connecting USB through a hub is not recommended. Some folks have had weird issues. Does your vid card have an hdmi out? There are several inexpensive hdmi extenders out there. Thanks for your reply. I do have an HDMI port, but I wanted to try to to avoid buying another cable f possible. So, I'll look for the cat5 extender or buy a long hdmi cable. Here is one that does both.. www.kvmgalore.com/shopping/aten-p-49118.html?gclid=CJKxi-vfqNECFdSFswodfbUGwQI bought a $50 startech one that only does HDMI. I didnt need to extend USB. The one above is a little more $, but does both HDMI and USB. Good luck!

I just bought a MTi2. My computer- a Windows 10 PC- is in a room 15 feet from my studio . Currently I have a long VGA cable connecting my computer to my PC screen and a long USB hub cable for my USB needs for my computer keyboard, mouse, etc. With the MTi2 can I reliably: 1. Use a VGA to HDMI adapter? 2. Use a USB connection off my hub? I'd prefer not having to buy new long HDMI and USB cables, but will if it is necessary to have optimal performance for my MTi2 . Connecting USB through a hub is not recommended. Some folks have had weird issues. Does your vid card have an hdmi out? There are several inexpensive hdmi extenders out there.

Hey Shep, Cant help you with Sonar concerns.. But to answer your questions about your machine. I run pretty much the same config. I7 4790k, 32G ram, onboard HD4600 gfx. I drive two monitors at 1080p with the internal gfx with no problem. It might be worth noting however I run osx and not windows on this box. As you can see my orientation. I have a 88 key keyboard under the raven. I like this setup as I usually run the mix window from the raven and the edit window on the monitor above.. Good luck. The raven is great and changed my workflow for the better.
