I just bought a MTi2.
My computer- a Windows 10 PC- is in a room 15 feet from my studio . Currently I have a long VGA cable connecting my computer to my PC screen and a long USB hub cable for my USB needs for my computer keyboard, mouse, etc.
With the MTi2 can I reliably:
1. Use a VGA to HDMI adapter?
2. Use a USB connection off my hub?
I'd prefer not having to buy new long HDMI and USB cables, but will if it is necessary to have optimal performance for my MTi2 .

Connecting USB through a hub is not recommended. Some folks have had weird issues. Does your vid card have an hdmi out? There are several inexpensive hdmi extenders out there.

I would look into buying cat5 extender for the HDMI and USB.

I do have an HDMI port, but I wanted to try to to avoid buying another cable f possible. So, I'll look for the cat5 extender or buy a long hdmi cable.

Here is one that does both.. www.kvmgalore.com/shopping/aten-p-49118.html?gclid=CJKxi-vfqNECFdSFswodfbUGwQI bought a $50 startech one that only does HDMI. I didnt need to extend USB. The one above is a little more $, but does both HDMI and USB. Good luck!

I was hoping there was a hub that used one cat5 to both the USB and HDMI. Unless there's a problem with 12 feet cables, it looks like it's gonna be less expensive to buy long HDMI and USB Cables and use them exclusively for the Raven.
