Hi Jamey
This Pro Tools Update is for me , the most important update ever. Finally the ability to use routing folders that make use of OBEDS and Expanded internal Bus structures for Beds and OBEDS in a sensible workflow.
My question is, given the challenges that Expanded Channel width has had with the Raven mixer page in the past, will installing and using these channel widths of all channel widths up to and including 9.1.6, routing folders, mixed widths ,(IE , mono, quad , stereo , 9.1.6 etc simultaneously) "break" the existing Raven GUI? Or do we have to wait for a 3.9.xx Raven update...or.... will this be coming in the forecasted super 4.0 Raven update?
With the Feidler Dolby Composer, PT 2023.6, Ginger Audio SPHERE and (here`s hoping) Raven 4.0, real time (or close to) Dolby Atmos Composing will finally be a reality...

Hey Jamey,Unfortunately, it was as I feared. The new channel widths completely screw the fader and mixer orientation. Anything above the old channel width limitations, so anything that is 7.1.4 up to 9.1.6 or 4th to 7th order ambisonics mess up the GUI and therefore any channel following the instantiation of the new channel width order. I would advise any other poor soul to wait confirmation of the Raven fix before upgrading. Please let me know when this is fixed

OK, thanks for testing. I will have the developers take a look at the wider channels. In the meantime, users can access the external mixer or floating mixer for multi touch faders as those don't require any special alignment.

After loading the new HD Driver for use with PT 2023.6 (Avid link prompted), I came back the next morning to find my HDX card has failed. I`m afraid I cant do those screenshots for a couple of weeks, but please, take my word for iy.... anything above 7.1.2 all the way up to 9.1.6 as well as any ambisonic track above 3 order screws up the GUI for the internal Pro Tools mixer. Please get the back room boys to fix this as I will be taking a sabbatical (and a couple of grand out of my account....I hate Avid) for the next couple of weeks. It would be a lovely surprise if everything "just worked" .... sigh.

Awesome, thanks Jamey. After I finish rebuilding my Cheesegrator (thanks Avid) I look forward to this…hopefully the expanded trackwidths are all there (I don’t really use the ambisonics side) that I need. Fingers crossed for the Version 4 Raven by the time I am finished.

Hey Jamey, just planning buss structure for my build, which Surround Faders does 3.9.8 support? I use a lot of different OBEDS. Cheers, Bill
