Hello,
I am thinking of switching from MAC to PC, (I can build a real beast for way less money).
As I am working with Studio One, and will dedicate this computer only to music production, I will not really have to deal much with windows... no other tasks or program's.
Still I am a little afraid to do this switch as I am a Mac and Hackintosh user for all my life (after I switched from Atari) :-)
My question is: will there be any difference in the Gestures, etc. ? or will they just all work the same on Windows as they do on Mac?
Anything else I should be aware of switching from Mac to PC ?
Thanks in advance and Kind regards from Spain.

Hey,
So Studio One is already Multi-Touch on Windows by use of Window Native Touch.. So users are stuck using the Presonus gestures, 1 finger drag and 2 finger pinch. At least on mac users can turn of Studio One TUIO/Multi-Touch and customize gestures in UPDD Commander , however this is not possible on Windows.

oh, that's good to know... but does this mean only 1 finger drag and 2 finger pinch would be fixed to Presonus gestures but can I still program all other gestures in UPDD ? or do UPDD gestures not work at all? I knew Windows had multitouch integrated, but I thought I could turn that of in Windows and then just work with UPPD... well I hoped this would be possible :-( Thank you once again Jamey. My second option is an Mini or Macbook M1 or the Mac Studio Max, if UPPD gestures is impossible on Windows I guess I will have to go for Mac.

On Windows Presonus Studio One doesn't give any option to turn off Window Native Touch so users are stuck with the simple native gestures in S1. Presonus also never coded S1 to react differently to 2, 3, 4, 5 finger pinch or 2,3,4,5 finger taps so it is going to be different gestures on Windows.

Wow, in that case I will be rethinking this switch very much... I guess I will be better off with a new Mac.
