thanks for your response to my previous thread. now that i'm getting a better feel for the raven products, i have several more questions:
1. when using two ravens with the 2.0 software, can you extend the mixer to span both? i'd like to have the ability to display 48 faders, but that might be a tricky programming issue. can you move plug-in and other windows between screens like you would in a typical multi-monitor environment?
2. using shortcuts and a mouse, it's easy to show/hide tracks in groups. with the raven, it looks like you should avoid using the touchscreen for selecting tracks and groups in the left column due to the font size. is there an easy way to control display of groups other than by creating dedicated memory locations?
3. how do you show additional control views in the mix window without messing up the multi-touch fader capability? for example, Instrument controls are very important, but showing them will change the channel strip dimensions.
4. similarly, is individual send view in pro tools 11 possible? it seems like this will be a problem since the channel strip gets longer whenever you put a send in individual view mode.
5. can you use standard keyboard modifiers to access pop-up menus or invoke shortcuts? for example, is it feasible to access right-click pop-up menu commands?
thanks in advance.

I think HUI has a 24 channel Max. So although they could probably display the faders, HUI wouldn't be able to control them..
2. using shortcuts and a mouse, it's easy to show/hide tracks in groups. with the raven, it looks like you should avoid using the touchscreen for selecting tracks and groups in the left column due to the font size. is there an easy way to control display of groups other than by creating dedicated memory locations? There are batch commands to select groups for you. (every group can have its own selector in a raven macro)
Also there are more batch commands that will fader focus (SHOW ONLY) each group . So you never have to click the groups area. Raven can do it for you.3. how do you show additional control views in the mix window without messing up the multi-touch fader capability? for example, Instrument controls are very important, but showing them will change the channel strip dimensions. You would hide the raven mixer while you are using instrument tracks and use single touch for a while. Then just switch to external mixer if you need to do fader moves.
4. similarly, is individual send view in pro tools 11 possible? it seems like this will be a problem since the channel strip gets longer whenever you put a send in individual view mode. The External Raven mixer has huge single channel faders to easily control sends. No need for individual send view .5. can you use standard keyboard modifiers to access pop-up menus or invoke shortcuts? for example, is it feasible to access right-click pop-up menu commands? There are right click specific Batch Commands that can right click any window (There is even one to CNTRL+CMND+OPT+CLICK the plug in to enable automation for all plug in parameters).
And there is a modifier menu bar that you can probably see in above picture. PEACE JAMEY Z
