FIXED
Two fingers on Nav Pad creates crash in DP 9.
It's my first day on the new MTi. I like it but it will take some time for all new workflow. Good job SS.
Please add to the list if you find anything. Hopefully there will be very few issues

I posted the following on the MOTUnation forum this morning. I'll report back here and/or contact support depending on what troubleshooting turns up in the next few days.
This should probably be in one of the DP 9 threads...
I know better, but I installed Slate Raven 3.0, Slate VMR with Bomber and DP 9.01 one after another. Uh huh. I knew I was in the stink trench when DP crashed and complained it was its own parabundle EQ that was the problem. Removed that MAS plug, but there were other crashes for no identifiable reason. Much permissions repairing, preferences trashing and re-installing of all concerned.
I could start a new project and insert multiple Slate VMRs. I could open an old project if it was small, like a VO edit session with just a few plugs and a lot of edits, but no big music mixes with mucho plugs. Spinning Pizza of Death forever. Yes, the VO projects had no Slate plugs. Yes, the music projects had many Slate plugs. I removed everything I could find and attempted to revert/re-install earlier iterations of Raven & VMR + DP 8.07. No joy. Something was pranged deep in the gears.
Two days later, I've got a clean install of OS 10.8.5 on a partition with DP 8.07 installed and all plugs except Slate loaded. I opened one of the music projects and DP said, "Dude! Where's the Slate plugs?" I hit OK and bing, there's the project. OK so far. Today, I'll archive this system as is, then I'll try installing the newest VMR. If that works, I'll install Raven 3.0. If that works, I'll erase the old system and migrate the new one to the SSD. After reading about some of the 9.0.1 glitches in various threads here, I think I'll rejoin v.9 a few iterations down the road. It's just not worth it for floating plug windows.

Anytime you update Digital performer you should clear out the digital performer preferences in user/library/prefs/com.motu
I had the same issue where I couldn't get DP open for a day...
Then I found this fix on one of the Motu Forums..

Then I found this fix on one of the Motu Forums.. Thanks Jameyz, that rings a memory bell. I've been using DP 8 for so long (plus a Raven prodded vacation with PT 11) I forgot to do that. I'll be sure to include that in my one-step-then-test protocol today.

The 3.0.1 maintenance update fixes the two-finger gesture on the NavPad. Hi Jim... the replacement arrived at 1:30. That is amazing customer service. Can you imagine some of the companies (to go unmentioned) getting an RMA and a unit out in 3 days??? Not to mention with Thanksgiving right in the middle of it all. I am a Slate Digital raging fan for life.

After testing with a clean system install and DP 8.07 on an empty partition, it seems the problem is with the new VMR/Bomber release. With the previous version of VMR, all is fine and MTi 3.01 has no issues either. I started a new thread for the VMR issue.

I am not seeing any trouble with VMR in DP9 under OSX 10.11.1.
