Hello, I have a Mac Pro 5,1 "Eight Core" 2.4 (Mid-2010/Westmere) that has an ATI Radeon 5770 (1024 MB) with 2x MiniDisplay ports and 1x DVI port. I need to use 3 displays on this Mac, the main one is a Slate Raven MTi (1920x1080, connected with a MiniDisplay to DVI cable), the second one is a 27" Samsung (1920x1200, connected with a MiniDisplay to DVI cable adapter), the third one another Samsung 24" (1920x1200, connected directly with the DVI cable). The problem is I can't get the all 3 monitors to work together. From the specs here : www.everymac.com/systems/apple/mac_pro/specs/mac-pro-eight-core-2.4-mid-2010-westmere-specs.htmlI've read this Mac/video card "is capable of supporting three displays -- digital resolutions up to 2560x1600 and analog resolutions up to 2048x1536" but also "a maximum of two DVI-based displays per graphics card." Can this be the problem, the fact that all 3 monitors are DVI ? And if so, how to solve this ? Maybe replacing one of the 2 Samsung with an HDMI one ? Thank you in advance

Had the same issue. Yes you need active adapters to make all three work

The MTplatform is searching for a USB connection to the screen, so that is why "the number of the overlays does not match with the displays…." isn't matching..
