First of all, sorry if there are redundancies...
2nd - Thanks in advance for the help Jamey (and others)
Requests/Questions:
1. move racks to other layouts. Example - move "audiosuite" rack from layout 2 to layout 1. (in music layout)
2. add buttons into racks. Example, if a rack has 2 buttons and you want to add 1 more button to have 3 for that category. For example “track size” rack in layout 2 has increase and decrease selected track size. maybe add a third button to set all track sizes to small.
3. straight up copy and paste buttons or option click and drag them to duplicate them. once duplicated you could just change 1 value in the key commands for quick and easy variations like new track x 1, new track x 4, new track x 10.
4. An up to date central aggregated location for all info. At the moment any time I want to look up how program something I check the 2.0 manual, then the batch command board for BC questions, then the batch command board for BC Request, then BC exchange. Then search on youtube as there are lots of videos (thanks Jamey) for BCs. It’s great there is so much info out there, it’s just very inefficient and sometimes I don’t know if things are still relevant.
5. Is the a way to see what the quick list BC’s do exactly? Or a way to edit them. Some of them might be very helpful if I could only edit 1 or 2 values in them.
6. Is there no work around in PT 11 LE to copying fader values from large faders to send levels? There has to be a work around like change the lane to large fader volume, copy auto data, create bus, change lane to bus send level, paste special to current automation type. I know they are trying to keep this HD only, but come on (Avid)!
7. Is there a BC to put a specific plugin on next open insert (wether or not that’s insert A or E, etc). It would be super helpful to have my favorite 10-15 plugs all be unique buttons on my ipad screen that would automatically turn on on the next available insert for whatever track (or tracks) I have selected. This could make putting plugs on so much quicker. To be clear, I don't want it to be "favorite plug in X" b/c depending on if mono or stereo the favorites list differs and I have like 15 plugins in that list. It would be much simpler if you could type in the exact name like Maag EQ4 and not have to know that it's the 11th favorited plugin. The other huge fault in the "favorite" plugin workflow is that if you add or subtract a favorited plugin it affects all of your BC's b/c PT lists them in alphabetical order. If you have Autotune as 1st fav then install AutoAlign that becomes the 1st and wrecks the favorite order... The workflow would be select track. Click "kramer tape" button. Kramer tape plugin turns on at first available insert (probably B after VMR)
Thanks again!
