Hi everyone!
So after some months of using the Raven one of the little things that keeps bugging me is the following (and this applies to both Logic and Pro Tools in my case):
When you're mixing and you go to grab a fader on the external mixer, it's really hard to grab on to the fader and not have it jump a considerable amount (sort of jumps and you have to bring it back to where you had it), the same happens a lot when i let go of the fader. One way of avoiding this is by turning fine faders on, grabbing the fader, turning fine faders off, doing whatever you want to do, turn fine faders on again, let go of the fader, turn fine faders off again. Obviously this works but it means that you can't grab faders with both hands because one has to be available to push the fine faders button. Obviously an answer would be "just use fine faders" but I find that sometimes they're way to slow (even in 10) for some of the rides that need to be done, love them for some things but also love not having them on cause the faders respond so well to large fast moves when not in that mode.
Anyways, anyone struggled with this and have a solution? I could imagine a future update where the fader is intelligent to know when it's first grabbed and let go off so that it knows not to do that initial jumpy move? Maybe some kind of buffer of sorts? Any ideas on how to deal with this for now?
Thanks as always!

100 % agree!
There should be an option to combine normal and fine fader: When a fader is touched, use fine fader for x seconds

Yes, something like that could work well!

Hey Guys, Not too sure I can recreate "the fader jumping a considerable amount" when touching it. Could you please try recalibrating your Raven? If the issue is still present please send me a quick video of this, from a phone so I can see your hand.

Hi Trevor, yeah - not an easy one to replicate because if you're just trying to make it happen you're sort of more aware of it and of course, then it doesn't happen haha, but in the middle of mixing when you're sort of running between faders, banking, rushing to grab the fader before the part changes, etc. etc., that's where you grab with less subtlety and the jump happens. I usually just ignore it and then go in with the pencil and erase the jump after the fact. Anyways, will try to get a video to you, in the middle of some crazy deadlines this week but will send as soon as I can.
Thanks as always!

Hey Guys,
We implemented an advancement to the touch driver that should improve your experience with this in the 2.5 update. After reviewing the thread, we have added to our concepts list a Fine Fader Touch Mode, where the initial touch and remove of the fader would activate Fine Fader mode for a momentary activation. We have not confirmed the conceptual feature yet for addition, but we'll investigate it further for future updates. I hope the updated driver as improved your experience in the meantime.
Thank you,
