Hey yo! In this video, it very much seems as if you can simply select any track and make a batch command to put a custom plugin onto the first insert, and then any insert after that, but I can't seem to get it to work. Is this possible? This would be great because I can then make a bunch of batch commands that can throw certain plugins onto the next available insert. This is the video I'm referring to: www.youtube.com/watch?v=34kJ1nZKIDY&list=PLpGC3ikrlbL_iF28_X4ATb2PPoMfbECYO&index=16Attached is the command I tried to write. Thanks!

H, This one you made is "Add custom to Next Insert", so this will require a plug in to open and will add the plug to the next inserts Here is how you make one to add to the actual insert. Add VMR Plugin.ravbc (1.79 KB)

Thanks! I'll try this when I get home later this evening.
Is this something that will only work if its the first track showing or can this be done on any track regardless of where it is on screen?
Also, a little unrelated, but can Raven users download Batch Commander separately or do they have to buy a separate version of it to use on other rigs (such as my portable laptop rig) when not using the Raven?
Thanks again, Jameyz!

It shift option clicks the first track.
I find using "user clicks" is a little faster, so I "shift option click" it by hand, then the BC searches for my plug.
BCer is a separate purchase..

Why are some commands, such as this one annoyingly slow? For instance, I can insert any plugin onto a track much faster using the traditional mouse way. Kind of defeats the whole purpose, no?
...really trying to justify the price tag on the Raven and my purchase. Ugh. Really hoping that in time, this kind of technology gets better as DAWS update, The Raven software updates etc...

I using the instant plugin chain BC is way better when adding chains, since that can take forever with a mouse. When trying to stack 4-5 plugs together. But for a single plug-in it could be faster with the mouse. However I find the "user Click" version to be sure fast.. Especially for huge plugin libraries like UAD and Waves, where you have to search for the plugin forever.

I dropped $2800w/tax for my first Raven MTi1 and gotta say it is still worth it.. I hate when I have to go to other studios and go back to the mouse. I hope you can find justify buying it.

Hi Jameyz, quick question ... you mentioned "user clicks" are quicker, and you Shift + Option + Click yourself.
I've tried this but am unable to get it to work. Do I just press record, then Shift + Option + Click on the first insert of the track?
When I have done this, and saved the recorded movement and click, then add it to the chain, nothing happens.

Hi, By user click, I mean you actually click the insert you want manually. This way, the BC doesn't have to spend time fader focusing the tracks. You can even do chains this way, just have to click the starting insert.
