Well, I'm trying to love my Raven, but it seems finicky on setup. Wondering if there are any basic operations tutorials out there. I watched the quick start and several of the batch command videos, but I, struggling with the basics.
I'm also wondering if there is an issue with projects created before Raven... Seems to work for some projects but not others (faders don't show up on a couple of them). Planning to export audio tracks and import them into a new mix template as a work around.
Any tips, help, links are most welcome. Thanks!

After working with Raven for a few days, I'm noticing lots of Cubase crashes. It's always when I'm switching views, opening mic edit window, or simply pressing "mixer"/"project" on the Raven.
It's fairly annoying.
Anyone seeing that sort of thing?
Cubase 8, mostly Slate plugins, Mac Pro, 22 gig ram, etc...

However it doesn't happen on CU9 anymore. I have never seen a crash when swapping windows around though. Perhaps you can update to a newer version.

Hey Mojo, I definitely encountered a lot of annoying glitches and crashes when trying to use the workspace switching. I was using Raven plus my iMac Screen and having it swap the mix and arrange view between them. There was about a 1 second lag when it performed this switch though. Enough to drive me crazy. Between that and having to hide the control room and not being able to dock my master and busses at the right side, I reverted to using the iMac screen for both arrange and mixer view and keeping the raven set for automating with the Raven External Mixer. I was always somehow accidentally screwing up the fader alignment in the mixer view too since it seems that adjusting the width in mixer 2 affects mixer 1. Enough to kill the creative vibes for me. Using the external mixer proves annoying as well due to the inability to color code channels and inadequate labels provided. I'm not going to spend a week creating labels of my own as some have suggested. I work with audio, not photos and feel this should be provided within the slate software. Generic labels for Groups, Busses, VCAs. Colored tabs similar to the batch commander buttons that allow you to type your own text would be sufficient for me (this would allow you to keep the color coding the same as it is in your daw. But yeah, I feel your pain and am trying mixing in Studio One at the moment. With the exception of touch automation not functioning with the touch screen it's been way better. Not as efficient on plugin count or CPU usage with VST instruments, but I may add a presonus faderport 8 and call it my new home for mixing.

What I have found indispensable about the Raven is using it with Soft Synths to tweak parameters. Feels very much like working with an analog synth with the raven.

That and having to hide the control room and not being able to dock my master and busses at the right side. I have been setting up a second MixConsole2 and using this mixer to show the "In/Outs" and the "Control Room". This MixConsole2 configuration doesn't effect the MixConsole 1 settings.
